Shipping & Handling 

No minimum order! Order what you want, when you want 

it! Each order will have a detailed invoice, including 

shipping & handling charges, attached to the package. 

Payment Methods 

Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, money 

orders and checks accepted. COD can be accepted, but 

UPS charges an additional $7.50 service charge to collect 

your COD check and truck lines will charge a minimum of 

$10. Because we offer no minimum order service, we do 

NOT accept open accounts. 

Returns 

Any defective products will be promptly replaced at no cost 

to you. We reserve the right to charge a 20% restocking 

fee on merchandise returned that is not defective. No 

returns will be accepted after 30 days of the invoice date. 

Backorders 

Our goal is to have the merchandise in stock for immediate 

shipment. In the event that we are out of stock we will 

notify you and give you the choice of cancelling or placing 

the item on backorder. You will never be billed for items 

until they are actually shipped to you. 

Sales Tax 

Sales tax will be collected on all orders as required by 

state laws, unless a signed tax exemption form is on file.

Transit Times 

UPS can normally reach any U.S. destination in 7 working 

days or less (weekends do not count). However, you can 

pay for guaranteed air freight delivery rates (some 

restrictions apply). Most common carrier shipments will 

arrive 2-4 working days. 

UPS Hazardous Material Surcharges 

A $20.00 hazardous material charge per box is charged by 

UPS for all shipments meeting this criteria. Common 

carrier shipments are exempt from additional hazardous 

surcharges. 

Due to material price increases beyond our control, we 

reserve the right to change prices without notice. The

Simulated Flat Oil Finish 

A very unique product. This flat sheen, 

clear aerosol finish measures just five 

degrees on a gloss meter! That is 1/2 

the sheen of our dead flat lacquer 

aerosols. Use this product for lowering 

the sheen of a previously coated 

surface or to produce a simulated oil 

finish look. Can also be used in spot 

repairs to reduce gloss over a burn-in

How are sheens measured? 

Because there are no industry standards when 

choosing a name to describe a sheens reflection 

(matte, egg shell, semi-gloss), choosing between 

brands can sometimes be confusing. As part of 

our description on clear aerosols we provide the 

sheen measurement in degrees. This is a consistent 

guideline, no matter the brand. If you’re 

unfamiliar with our sheen names this should help 

you choose the correct sheen and not get caught 

in the “name game”. 

Full Gloss, full reflection ................ 90 degree 

Dead Flat, almost no reflection ...... 5-10 degree 

Shellac Aerosols 

Fast drying, versatile shellac in an

Two Minute Padding Lacquer 

This product is used for touch-up and repair when the traditional Padding 

Lacquer is too fast drying. This product may be applied by a pad, either to raw

PL1009 and is often reduced with LT300 lacquer thinner and used as a graining

How does it work? 

Restor-A-Finish is a unique finish-penetrating 

formula that restores the original color and 

luster to your finish while blending out the 

blemishes and minor scratches. Restor-A- 

Finish cleans the surface and restores the 

finish in one step - without removing any of 

the existing finish. 

Restore It - Don’t Strip It! 

With a simple wipe-on, wipe-off process, 

most finished wood surfaces that seem to 

need a refinishing job can be completely 

restored in a few minutes. White heat rings and water marks, sun 

fade, oxidation, smoke damage, and most other blemishes can be 

quickly eliminated. Before you go to the extreme of stripping it, try 

restoring it! 

Restor-A-Finish is available in nine colors. 

Treat Scratches, Nicks, and Abrasions 

Restor-A-Finish works best when applied with a small pad of 

toweling, or for severe white rings and crazing, with Super 

Fine(0000) steel wool. DO NOT pour directly on the finish. When 

using steel wool, always rub with the grain of the wood. First, 

determine the pressure you should use on an inconspicuous spot, 

as the hardness of finishes vary. 

White Heat Rings and Water and Smoke Damage Apply Restor- 

A-Finish with steel wool and rub hard enough with the grain of the 

wood to blend out the white effect. If high gloss finish should 

appear dull due to the use of steel wool, polish it out with a 

commercial polishing compound. 

Revive Wood Finishes 

Wipe on the appropriate color of Restor-A-Finish with a clean cloth. 

Let it stand for a few minutes then wipe dry. If you desire a darker 

shade, simply apply a darker color of Restor-A-Finish. 

Raised and Blistered Finishes 

Apply Neutral Restor-A-Finish (to prevent darkening of wood 

beyond temporary “wet effect”) with steel wool. As blisters soften 

press down while the Restor-A-Finish is applied. Wipe dry, and 

again later if the surface “blooms” with excess Restor-A-Finish. 

Restore Minor Crazed or Checked Finishes 

Apply Restor-A-Finish with Medium Grade(00) steel wool. Rub hard 

enough to smooth out the finish, periodically checking your 

progress. Checked or crazed surfaces may absorb an excess of 

Restor-A-Finish and “bloom out” requiring another wiping later. 

Treat Carved Wood 

Restor-A-Finish has saved many hours of labor by chemically 

cleaning and restoring the finish on carved portions of furniture and 

clocks. Simply apply Restor-A-Finish with a small paint brush or 

soft tooth brush and wipe off.

the phenolic-backed veneers that are most common 

today. Two-ply veneer consists of a quality veneer face 

with a second ply of rotary cut, real wood veneer, 

running cross-grained to form a two-ply sheet. Two-ply 

veneers are very stable, they don't wrinkle or split.

How does your finish measure up? SYSTEM #1 

Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturer’s Association (KCMA) 

is a national organization that publishes stringent 

guidelines for testing finishes. When you see that a 

finish has successfully passed the KCMA guidelines 

then you know that you are purchasing a top quality 

material. For any finish to pass the KCMA standards it 

must successfully complete these standard tests. 

After each test the finished panels cannot show any 

discoloration, or have evidence of blistering, checking, 

whitening, or other film failure that will not be 

corrected with ordinary polishing. 

✔ Household 

Chemical Test 

This test requires 

that a finished 

test panel be 

subjected to 

each of these 

household items 

for the time 

period shown in 

this chart. 

✔ Edge Soak Test 

This test requires that a prepared panel be tested by 

standing on edge in a trough. The trough is filled with 

10% Palmolive soap and water. Sponges are laid in the 

trough and the test panel is set upon these sponges 

overnight. In order to pass the panel cannot show any 

damage from the water and soap solution. 

✔ Extreme Temperature Variation Test 

The prepared test panel is placed in a controlled 

environment oven. The panel is heated to 120 

degrees F. for 1 hour and then allowed to readjust to 

the original room temperature and humidity conditions. 

The panel is next chilled to a -10 degrees F. for 1 hour 

and then allowed to readjust to the original room 

temperature and humidity conditions. The panels must 

pass 10 complete heat/cool cycles with no visible 

damage in order to pass this test.

This high solids, water clear, 

fast building Conversion 

Varnish is a great system for 

finishing new wood. This 

varnish is a two part system 

consisting of the coating and a 

pre-measured acid catalyst 

with each can. No more 

mixing and guessing, just 

agitate and add the catalyst! 

L600 series Conversion Varnish may be used with a 

catalyzed vinyl sealer or a non-catalyzed sealer, 

however it works great as a self sealing system (no 

sealer). Conversion Varnish is the choice for high 

production cabinet and mill work shops. Features 

unsurpassed durability and quick “stack and wrap” 

times. Under normal conditions this product can be 

sanded in 30-45 minutes and re-coated within 60 

minutes. Please note that the complex 2 part system 

of this varnish makes it a poor choice for refinishers 

and/or old wood. However, for new woods, this 

product features good durability and ease of use. 

May be thinned up to 25% with Xylene or Toluene 

may be substituted for a faster dry. With one coat of 

varnish as sealer and 2 topcoats of varnish this 

system will pass KCMA tests: hot and cold check 

resistance and chemical resistance. Use Toluene, 

Xylene or lacquer thinner to clean up all equipment 

immediately after use. Pot life is 8-12 hours 

depending upon temperature.

What is HAPs Compliant? 

HAPs stands for hazardous air pollutants. This is an air quality standard that is being gradually phased into the wood finishing industry. This 

regulation calls for a reduction in a variety of emissions taken from a list of 189 HAPs. HAPs compliant finishes have been formulated 

especially for compliance on these issues. 

Do I have to use these low HAPs products, and how will they effect what I do? 

You will need to consult your local or state air quality agencies to determine this. However, many small shops are exempt from this standard. 

Many small shop owners have chosen to use the low HAPs products for quality, as well as environmental issues. The low HAPs formulated 

products normally have a thin viscosity and require less thinning to get to spray viscosity. Because of this, you will produce a faster build than 

most traditional coatings.

Sealers 

Sanding Sealers are designed to speed production by 

making sanding easy. Because they are often soft and 

have little durability, we recommend never using more 

than two coats and never use the non-catalyzed 

sealers as a top coat. Sanding Sealers are normally 

applied following the staining steps and before the final 

coats. 

L131 Sanding Sealer 

The standard lacquer sealer 

used for years. This hi-solids 

sealer works well under 

standard lacquer finishes .

Crackle Lacquers 

An excellent product for the 

newest trend in decorating, 

crackle finishes. This product 

enables the finisher to produce 

an excellent “antique look” for 

both new and old wood products. 

Our Premium Precatalyzed 

Lacquer or CAB Acrylic finishes 

L275 are recommended for protection 

and durability over light colored 

Crackle finishes. Crackle 

Lacquers are supplied as tinting 

bases and no reduction is necessary, product is ready to 

use. For tinting, use only colorants formulated for use in 

lacquers. Use no more than 6 ounces per gallon of 

universal colorant. Crackle lacquer requires a smooth 

prefinished surface to work correctly. Do not apply to raw 

or poorly finished surfaces. After applying your base coats 

of stain or pigmented lacquers we recommend multiple 

coats of Vinyl Sanding Sealer or other appropriate lacquer 

finish to seal and separate the crackle from the base coat 

or base wood. Crackle should normally be applied within 

1 hour of final seal coat before applying Crackle Lacquer. 

The clear coat should be dry but not over cured. DO NOT 

SAND THE FINAL COATS BEFORE APPLYING 

CRACKLE LACQUER. Sanding the final coat will create 

uneven, inconsistent cracks. After properly sealing the 

substrate, or the base coats, spray the tinted Crackle 

Lacquer next. After spraying crackle you must apply a 

clear coat for adhesion. 

Spraying 

Apply base coat (desired color), then clear coat 

with a lacquer or vinyl sanding sealer. Apply 

crackle lacquer (desired color) by spray 

application. Crackling occurs as it dries, showing 

base coat. Thin coats will show thin crackle 

patterns. Thick coats will show thick crackle 

patterns. Topcoat with a clear lacquer coating 

for durability and protection. 

Brushing 

Follow normal instructions, but instead of 

spraying the crackle, apply with a quality paint 

brush. You must apply with long even strokes. 

Do not brush back and forth. Brush in one 

direction and brush quickly. Because of the 

quick drying times of Crackle Lacquer brushing is 

not recommended for large areas only on small 

areas as an accent. 

Padding 

Follow normal instructions, but instead of 

spraying your crackle lacquer, apply it with a 

paper towel. Wad the towel in to a ball and 

dab the crackle onto your piece. It is possible 

to stop the crackling process at any time by 

immediately applying a clear topcoat. This 

enables the finisher to customize the crackling 

process and make the application unique.
