One <strong>of</strong> the city‘s most attractive buildings.<br />

The southern gable features the arms <strong>of</strong> the<br />

towns and states with trade links to <strong>Ulm</strong><br />

and an old Danube barge (<strong>Ulm</strong>er Schachtel).<br />

7 <strong>Ulm</strong> Museum<br />

Prehistoric and early historical archaeological<br />

artefacts (e.g. the Lion Man). 20th<br />

century European and American art with the<br />

Kurt Fried Collection.<br />

8 Adlerbastei<br />

The „Tailor from <strong>Ulm</strong>“, A. L. Berblinger,<br />

performed his unsuccessful attempt at flight<br />

over the Danube here in 1811.<br />

9 Synagoge<br />

The restored synagogue is in the area <strong>of</strong> the<br />

historic „Weinh<strong>of</strong>“.<br />

10 Kornhaus<br />

Along with the Natural History Centre,<br />

this building forms a lively museum<br />

focussing on mineralogy, geology, palaeontology,<br />

Located in the Salzstadel. Permanent exhibition<br />

on the history <strong>of</strong> milling and baking<br />

as well as the significance <strong>of</strong> bread for<br />

mankind in the past and present.<br />

The glass pyramid has been an additional<br />

All around the Minster, you‘ll find a<br />

colourful mixture <strong>of</strong> small shops which are<br />

<strong>of</strong>ten accommodated in lovingly restored<br />

buildings. The Hirschstraße shopping street<br />

is home to the major department stores and<br />

international chains.<br />
