The AGM on Sunday 13 th thanked Club tireless stalwart Bill Edwards OAM for his endless years of
dedication serving on the Board, who has taken a “short term” break to dedicate some time to his family
and other endeavours, and welcomed well known local identities, former Noosa Shire Councilor Ray
Kelly and Chamber of Commerce Executive Danielle Taylor to the team. Congratulations to all Board
Members on your appointments and thank you from the community for taking on another busy 12
months which includes the continuing endeavours to obtain funding to renovate the Memorial Hall and
upgrade the Club’s facilities. Our gorgeous Phil is currently painting the exterior of the Club so if you see
him out there don’t be shy to grab a brush and lend a hand!
Joanie Boyce hosted a wonderful Variety Show on the 5th in aid of the SES and the Red Cross which
raised a whopping $3000. Local pollie Peter Wellington last week accompanied by representatives from
both organisations presented Joan with a certificate in appreciation for her works—well done Joanie!
Our next fundraiser is the Trivia in support of the Cooroy Family Support Centre so come along and
have some fun.
ANZAC DAY - See Page 2 for the Anzac Programme.
THE SOCIAL SCENE “The Spirit of Anzac” soiree with poetry, music and song that lifted the soul was
another wonderful evening in which to enjoy some culture and good company. Come along and check
out the art works by the Tinbeerwah group—a % of sales goes to our Sub Branch so you are helping do
good works!
