Peer Support
On Thursday, 24 th May, Stage 3 spent the day
learning about quality leadership skills. Stage 3 were
granted the permission to wear mufti to school.
In the morning, we all filed into the hall and talked
about why Padstow North is doing Peer Support and
listed some reasons. We then discussed how to deal
with the students in the group, and how to deal with
behavioural issues. Once we had completed the
theory part of the day, we had lunch. The school
provided us with delicious sausages.
Once we had finished lunch, we were ushered into
the hall to start our next activity. We continued
some of the behaviour part and started on the next
activity. We, in groups of 3, had to sort out an
argument between two students (Jack and Jill).
After a few groups performed their solution, we
received our Peer Support folders and discovered
our groups.
Once we did that, we formed groups of 5-6 to try
out some of the games. Recess was next, and we
then decorated our folders and badges in the
classroom. Stage 3 hopes that all students in
Padstow North will enjoy this Peer Support
experience!
