The boards are fastened using the existing clips within the cars. A different board is provided for each of the 5 

intermediate cars. Each board is identified in a way corresponding to the car numbers. 

On each board a potentiometer allows an individual brightness setting. 

Connecting points for a capacitor (1000 µF 25 V) are provided on the two boards for the end cars. 

 

Connection 

In one of the end cars, as explained in the train's notice,the board must be connected using the grey and green 

wires (or yellow and green). Polarity does not matter here since the board has a rectifier. 

 

However it is mandatory to pay attention to the polarity of the wiring between cars. To enforce this point, the 

connecting points on the boards have plus(+) and minus(-) markings. 

 

Again, it is mandatory to pay attention to the polarity when mounting a capacitor. 

 

Current drawn by the whole set varies from 10 mA up to a maximum of 70 mA depending on brightness setting.

Der Lokdecoder N025 entspricht dem NMRA-DCC-Standard und ist verwendbar mit allen DCC-kompatiblen 

Zentraleinheiten, z.B. von den Firmen Lenz, Roco, Zimo, Uhlenbrock (Intellibox), Fleischmann (TwinCenter) und 

Digitrax. Weiterhin "versteht" der Decoder das Motorola-Datenformat und kann somit auch mit den Zentralen der 

Firma Märklin (z.B. Zentrale 6021) verwendet werden. 

Durch modernste Bauteil- und Leiterplattentechnologie ist der zweiseitig bestückte Decoder nur 3,3mm hoch. Die 

Abmessungen des Decoders betragen 11,4 x 8,8 x 3,3 mm. 

Die integrierte Lastregelung des Decoders hält die Geschwindigkeit der Lokomotive unabhängig von der Belastung 

konstant. Die Motoransteuerung kann dabei hochfrequent mit ca. 16kHz für einen besonders leisen Motorlauf oder 

niederfrequent für den Betrieb älterer Motoren erfolgen. 

Der Decoder kann im DCC-Format entweder auf eine von 127 Basisadressen oder auf eine von 10239 erweiterten 

Adressen (auch als 4stellige Adressen bezeichnet) eingestellt werden. Zusätzlich unterstützt der Decoder den 

Betrieb innerhalb von Mehrfachtraktionen durch eine Consistadresse. Im Motorola-Format sind bis zu 254 

Adressen nutzbar. 

Je nach Zentrale kann der Betrieb mit 14, 28 oder 128 Fahrstufen erfolgen. Die Geschwindigkeits-kennlinie ist 

durch Programmieren der Mindest-, Mitten und Höchstgeschwindigkeit besonders schnell und einfach anpassbar. 

Zusätzlich kann eine eigene Kennlinie über eine Geschwindigkeitstabelle mit 28 Speicherplätzen eingestellt 

werden. Unterschiedliche Höchstgeschwindigkeiten für Vorwärts- und Rückwärtsfahrt (z.B. bei Dampfloks) sind 

ebenfalls möglich. 

Die zwei Funktionsausgänge des Decoders können entweder für richtungsabhängiges Licht oder für Licht und eine 

Zusatzfunktion (z.B. Dampfgenerator) benutzt werden. Jedem Funktionsausgang können Effekte (z.B. Blinken, 

Blitzlicht, Dimmen usw.) zugewiesen werden, wobei zusätzlich die Wiederholfrequenz der Effekte einstellbar ist. 

Die Funktion F4 ermöglicht das Umschalten in den Rangiergang. Bei reduzierter Geschwindigkeit und 

Brems-/Anfahrverzögerung sind Rangiervorgänge besonders feinfühlig durchführbar. Mittels der Funktion F3 

können die Lampen abgeblendet , d.h. auf geringere Helligkeit gestellt werden. 

Der Motorausgang ist mit bis zu 700 mA belastbar, die einzelnen Funktionsausgänge können jeweils mit 150mA 

belastet werden. Alle Ausgänge des Decoders besitzen Schutzeinrichtungen, die im Falle eines Kurzschlusses den 

Decoder abschalten. 

Der Decoder unterstützt alle üblichen DCC-Programmierverfahren (Physical-, Paged CV- oder 

Direct-CV-Addressing) sowie die Programmierung während der Fahrt mittels "Programming on the Main". Auch im 

Motorolaformat ist die Programmierung des Decoders ohne ein Öffnen der Lok möglich. 

Für einen störungsfreien Betrieb bei schlechtem Gleiskontakt besitzt der Decoder einen Kurzzeitspeicher für die 

aktuellen Fahrinformationen.
