Volkswagen feeling on two wheels
New Bicycle Collection from Volkswagen Accessories – Newcomer
to the range: Pedelec with 3-stage front-mounted motor
Dreieich/Germany, May 2012. Now is the best time to enjoy
nature, sunshine and fresh air, while also keeping active.
Volkswagen Accessories provides precisely the right high-quality
bicycles. The Bicycle Collection 2012 offers a choice of mountain
bikes, trekking bikes and city bikes. A special highlight: for the first
time there is also a Pedelec. To ensure convenient and optimal
transportation of your bicycles, the bicycle holders and carriers are
perfectly adapted to the various Volkswagen models.
Comfortably enjoy nature and look after your health at the same time:
the black 28 inch Pedelec has a 3-stage motor, Shimano 7-speed gear
system and Schwalbe Energizer 40-622 tyres, making cycling fun for
all generations. The front motor provides a boost when you would
rather save your strength or simply want to reach your destination
more quickly - and it's environmentally friendly too. The Pedelec is
available with a frame height of 47 cm or 52 cm and has a net weight
of approximately 27 kilograms (including battery).
Even for cyclists who prefer to stay away from the cycle paths, the
Bicycle Collection 2012 has two attractive models to offer: a black/red

26-inch mountain bike and a black/blue 29-inch mountain bike. Both
models are available with a frame height of either 52 cm or 56 cm.
The lightweight 14-kilogram 26-inch mountain bike with Schwalbe
Black Jack Lite tyres and 27-speed gear change (Shimano Deore RD-M
591) is suitable for all types of terrain and both its excellent technical
equipment and elegant design are sure to make an impression.
The lightweight 14.5-kilogram 29-inch mountain bike with Schwalbe
Rapid Rob 57-662 tyres is well-suited to long distances thanks to its
larger tyres and 30 gear-speeds (Shimano XT RD-M 780), but it is also
just as much at home off-road. In addition to its excellent technical
equipment the bike's sporty design will also make an impression.
With the trekking bike you are well equipped for a bicycle tour in the
city or through country lanes and forest paths. And last but not least,
the elegant matt black, aluminium frame with shiny accentuated
lettering creates a fashionable look. The 28-inch trekking bike is
available in both men's and ladies' versions. The technical highlights:
Magura HS-11 brakes, 24-speed Shimano Deore RD-M 5911 gears
and Schwalbe Road Cruiser tyres.
The white 28-inch city bike from the new collection will guarantee a
sporty and elegant appearance in the city thanks to its beautifullyshaped
aluminium frame. The wide, low step-through and the 7-speed
gear system from Shimano, as well as the high-quality City Comfort
saddle and spring-mounted saddle support, make riding this city bike
especially comfortable.

Volkswagen Accessories offers convenient transport solutions for
almost all Volkswagen models in order to ensure that the bicycles are
transported safely. The product range includes both bicycle holders
for the vehicle roof and the practical carrier for the towing hitch.
Depending on the model, up to three bicycles can be securely attached
to the tailgate carriers.
