Continue on Rt. 151 for 14.2 miles to Rt. 664, turn
right. Proceed 4.5 miles to the Wintergreen entrance.

Our two picturesque courses include 45 holes of true
mountain golf. Stoney Creek, designed by the “U.S. Open
Doctor”, Rees Jones, flows through the historic Rockfish
Valley and its natural springs and native habitat. Devils Knob,

Hiking
Wintergreen’s 30 miles of marked scenic hiking trails
encompass the entire resort. There are trails for every level
of hiker with descriptions of what you’ll discover as you
hike. Maps are available for $3 at The Nature Foundation,
Front Desk and Discovery Ridge Adventure Center.
Fly Fishing
Wintergreen’s Fly Fishing services are designed to
accommodate the inexperienced to the expert angler.
Wintergreen’s Orvis-endorsed instructors have the
perfect classroom setting at Lake Monocan to
introduce students to the art of fly fishing; or anglers
can experience the thrill of fishing for trout in the
mountains or smallmouth bass on the legendary

The Wintergreen Nature Foundation
The Wintergreen Nature Foundation (TWNF) is a
non-profit organization dedicated to environmental
education and research in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
TWNF sponsors several annual events, as well as weekly
guided hikes and explorations, all open to the public.
For young naturalists, Robin’s Nook is free for children
to enjoy nature stories, coloring sheets, games and explore
nature objects. TWNF is located across from the

Wintergreen Adaptive Sports
Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Wintergreen
Adaptive Sports (WAS) is a non-profit organization that
encourages children and adults with disabilities to discover
new abilities through alpine skiing, snowboarding,

The Aquatics & Fitness Center, adjacent to the

It’s where your family vacation beings with indoor and outdoor

Children’s Programs
The Treehouse offers half- and full-day programs for
children ages 2½-12. Our counselors, supervisors and
managers all join the fun with lots of energy and creative
programming with nothing but adventure in mind.
Our littlest campers (ages 2½-5) will enjoy easy nature
walks, playground time, games, stories, and swimming.
Children (ages 6-12) explore nature, swim, do crafts,
play field games and enjoy scavenger hunts. Participants
should bring a swimsuit, towel, tennis shoes, and
sunscreen each day.
The Treehouse is open May 28-30 and daily

Spend the day at the lake – there’s so much to enjoy!
20-acre Lake Monocan Park is perfect for swimming,
boating, playing in the water, or just sunning on the beach.

for strolling or riding bicycles. Open Memorial Day
