In this test we investigated the suitability of 1% and 2% working solutions of the <strong>terralin</strong> <strong>PAA</strong><br />
surface disinfectant for use in the schülke wipes mini-system.<br />

Test design<br />
The schülke wipes mini-system was in each case filled with 3 litres of the different <strong>terralin</strong><br />
<strong>PAA</strong> working solutions (1% and 2%). To determine the concentration of the respective test<br />
samples, the working solution was pressed out of the wipe rolls after predefined standing<br />
times of 6, 8 and 12 hours and the concentration of peracetic acid was determined for these<br />
standing times.<br />
Results<br />
Usability of <strong>terralin</strong> <strong>PAA</strong><br />
in the schülke wipes mini-system<br />
Analysis of the tested 1% and 2% working solutions of <strong>terralin</strong> <strong>PAA</strong> in the schülke wipes<br />
mini-system revealed an adequate active-substance concentration of at least 90 ± 5% for<br />
both strengths at a storage temperature of 25 ± 2 o C. The disinfection performance of the

tested working solutions in the schülke wipes mini-system is thus fully assured in connection<br />
with standing times encountered during the working day.<br />
Summary<br />
In this test we were able to show that the investigated working solutions of <strong>terralin</strong> <strong>PAA</strong> are<br />
suitable for use in the schülke wipes mini-system in connection with standing times<br />
encountered during the working day and that disinfection is fully assured when the product is<br />
used correctly.<br />
Thus <strong>terralin</strong> <strong>PAA</strong> is well suited for self-filling of the schülke wipes mini-system by the user.<br />
In order to ensure that the surfaces to be treated are adequately wetted, it is recommended<br />
that 3 litres of working solution is used per roll of 40 +1/-0 wipes.<br />
The hygiene requirements concerning the production and storage of disinfection solutions<br />
are to be observed. The water and vessels used for producing the disinfection solution<br />
should be in a satisfactory state of hygiene.<br />
This recommendation will not apply if any modifications have been made to the products<br />
mentioned above.<br />
