Common Aviation Command and Control System<br />
Upon the end of its service life (2005+), the TAOM will be replaced by the<br />
Common Aviation Command and Control System (CAC 2 S) and its associated<br />
communications suite. This system, which will be fielded to all major<br />
MACCS C 2 agencies and designed to fit each of their missions, will provide<br />
the TAOC with a standardized hardware suite which includes a server,<br />
workstations, TADIL processors, radar processors, communications equipment,<br />
etc., required for the TAOC mission. The CAC 2 S’s software will consist<br />
of standardized common components (to ease maintenance and logistics<br />
efforts) along with TAOC-specific applications.
