CONDITIONS OF SALE<br />
1. Highest bidder to be purchaser subject to reserve price. If any dispute<br />
arises between two or more bidders, the lot to be put up again and resold or<br />
auctioneer may declare the purchaser.<br />
2. All lots to become the absolute property of purchaser at the fall of the<br />
hammer.<br />
3. The auctioneer acts as agent for the vendors and any action taken by a<br />
purchaser must be against the vendors and not the auctioneer or livestock<br />
mart committee.<br />
4. <strong>Sheep</strong> will be sold in the order in which they appear in the catalogue,<br />
saving the Champion which will be sold midway through its section.<br />
5. Rams and ewes will be sold in Euro guineas and all cheques must be<br />
advised to AIB, The Diamond, Carndonagh.<br />
6. All purchases are made on the distinct and clear understanding that no<br />
warranty or guarantee whatsoever is given and shall be in the risk of the<br />
purchaser at the fall of the hammer.<br />
7. Purchases not complying with these conditions will be liable to have their<br />
lots resold by public auction.<br />
The Knock flock was established in 1990 with the purchase of 5<br />
females from the renowned Glebe flock. The flock has since become<br />
established as one of the leading flocks in Donegal.<br />
Over the past 22 years the flock has amassed numerous<br />
Championships, having prize winners at both Local and National level<br />
including:<br />
• Knock Barrymore, Champion <strong>Texel</strong> Inishowen Show 1997, first<br />
homebred Champion for the flock<br />
• Knock Captain winning 1 st prize Shearling Ram Raphoe Sale<br />
1998, subsequently selling to the Cush & Hilton flocks<br />
• Knock Drunk & Disorderly Breed & Interbreed Champion<br />
Inishowen Show 1999<br />
• Knock Jolie (IKI03030) winning the Hogget Ewe class at the All-<br />
Ireland Championships in 2004. Unbeaten every time she was<br />
shown she had 5 Championships to her name, a number of<br />
descendants sell.<br />
• Knock Muscleman winning the Shearling Ram class at the<br />
Premier Sale 2007. Subsequently sold for €5,200gns which<br />
remains the top price paid for a <strong>Texel</strong> Shearling Ram in<br />
Ireland.<br />
• Knock Norman winning 2 nd prize Shearling Ram class at the<br />
Premier sale 2008, selling for €1,800gns.
The Sale includes 23 Aged Ewes and 23 Hogget Ewes, 18 of the ewes<br />
selling will be in lamb to the much admired Milestonehill Toploader<br />
jointly purchased for £3,100gns at the NI Premier Sale. Other sires<br />
used include Fairywater Tribute, Champion NI Premier Sale (by kind<br />
permission of Mr. John Greene), Kildowney Pulse (1st Prize Aged Ram<br />
Donegal <strong>Texel</strong> Championships, Inishowen & Clonmany Shows 2011<br />
and sire of 22 ewes in the sale) & Speenogue Ronaldo (maternal<br />
brother to Pierre, All-Ireland Champion 2012).<br />
