17 The current MTB trails are impressive. Some of the obstacles are too much for
me. There needs to be ample beginner options as well with signage & maps.
18 This area has a ton of potential as a unique recreation area and opportunity.
Having a variety of trails in this area would be great for the southwest community
21 While playgrounds and ball fields would be nice, I am concerned about light
should close at sunset.
waterfall in a natural setting with the water recirculating, horseback riding (Mt
Charleston is so outdated), whatever happened to the water parks idea? I was
25 With all the parks we have in this County why do we need another one? May 2, 2012 5:53 PM
26 Bootleg Canyon with its MTB trails, River Mountain Loop and gardens is a good
example.
May 2, 2012 12:35 PM
27 It would be nice to have solar panels and LED lights to save on future costs. May 2, 2012 12:24 PM
28 I cannot stress the importance of a Multi-Use/human-powered trail system that
will allow Mountain biking, horseback riding and hiking in the area.
May 2, 2012 11:51 AM
29 A combination of Red Rock Canyon and the Springs Preserve would be ideal. May 2, 2012 11:33 AM
30 A new trail system developed for mountain bike, hiking and equestrian would
give the other amazing areas of Nevada a rest and people more options to
explore our wonderful environment.
31 Consider how many times people will use the system in the survey May 1, 2012 7:24 PM
32 Make it a great place for human travel, outdoor education, and solitude. Apr 30, 2012 4:02 PM
33 Red Rock is overcrowded. This is a good opportunity to have natural open
space to explore. Primitive Trails would be great.
34 Las Vegas needs more mountain bike trails with facilities such as paved parking
and restrooms.
35 Maybe involve youth outdoor sports like a competitive mountain bike race series
annually on the trail system
37 Love to see more mountain bike trails Apr 27, 2012 7:18 PM
38 see you at the open house. Apr 27, 2012 3:01 PM
39 Protection from off road rv and motorcycle damage, illegal shooting and dumoin
and graffitti is very important to consider. Protection of wildlife habiat is very
critical. Is it necessary to have a mountain park with Red Rock so nearby? How
ill the funds be raised to develop this park when other parks which are already
developed have been closed or not maintained or not completed?
40 A Urban Mountain Bike park with access to mountain bike trails that Could
connect to the Blue Diamond?Cottonwood Trails will be great
41 Having sources like IMBA and others involved that are professionals we can
have a bike skills park like Valmont
http://bouldermountainbike.org/valmontbikepark Also Lee McCormack of
leelikesbikes.com would be a great source for such a project
42 Recreational / off road vehicles should never be allowed on trails. They are
pollutants and harmful in many ways.
43 Very excited to see what happens with this place Apr 26, 2012 11:44 PM
44 This is a beautiful area, the views are amazing. The hiking is challenging, and
the night sky is fabulous. So much potential.
45 Please allow this project to go through! Las Vegas has a very active mountain
biking community and we would love to have more options!
46 They're is a Mtb trail network there now please incorporate it into your master
plan
47 Vegas is in desperate need of some really well designed mountian bike trails.
Especially some freeride/ dh trails.
49 Stop as much traffic in our natural areas. Just stop. Apr 26, 2012 6:59 PM
50 Please no bus/tour bus sites. The mountain bike community is growing at a rapid
rate and partake in many charitable functions.
Apr 26, 2012 5:46 PM
51 Continue to maintain the history of horse in the valley Apr 26, 2012 5:44 PM
52 We enjoy hiking around the area. Would really love a Dog Park here, since now
we have to drive to Desert Breeze Park
Apr 26, 2012 5:42 PM
53 It would be wonderful to have a place to mountain bike for all levels. Apr 26, 2012 5:38 PM
54 mountain bike trails Apr 26, 2012 5:11 PM
55 Bike, walk, run trails. As natural as possible. Encourge wildlife habitions Apr 26, 2012 4:49 PM
56 If bike trails are going to be built please have actual mountain bikers help design
them, this will prevent illegal or unauthorized building from occuring.
57 This is excellent news. It's high-time that Las Vegas caught up with cities like
Phoenix and Denver in this!
58 Tables and Barbecue grills would be nice. It would be great to have a barbecue
after a good mountain bike ride.
62 Creative and professional mountain bike trails Apr 26, 2012 1:33 AM
63 Mountain biking trails attract residents and visitors, as well as $$ to the area.
Please build more!
64 When trails are built please seek input from IMBA or SNMBA so that they are
done right.
65 Please preserve the land and not over develop, as a family of Clark County we
appreciate all the open land. Mountain biking is our passion and we are always
seeking new trails to ride on.
66 The Anthem East Trails are a great example of multi-use trails in a near urban
setting. The trails are being well received by the community and seeing a lot of
usage. Increasing the number of mult-use trail opportunities like Anthem East
would differentiate Las Vegas from almost every city. I'd like to be invloved.
67 This area offers an outstanding opportunity for the County to create a unique
nature oriented park, different from the other county regional parks. The
development should be oriented more towards non-motorized trails, picnic
facilities, and interpretive facilities. Also, it would be good to look into adventure
type trails that might attract more interest in kids,. There is a cool trail at Mohave
National Preserve at the Hole-in-the-Wall area with chain through a slot canyon
that makes for more of an adventure experience for people.
71 I have ridden trails via horsback for over 10 years in the valley. I am continually
saddened at the trash and lack of respect the public has for our land. I believe
you should charge an entrance fee and patrol the facility users (even use
volunteers on horseback!) To keep the area pristine.
