Train Simulator 2013: coming 20th September! The next thing on the list is a mode called “Relay Play”. The first instance of multiplayer to be implemented in the RailWorks series, the whole concept is a scenario split into sections, and these sections are completed by up to 4 people, changing player after a section is complete. Some scenarios will feature 2 sections, some longer ones could feature 4, and it is really up to the players to decide how the scenario will be completed; 2 players can alternate to work on two sections each, or 4 players can complete one at a time. Steam Workshop, as previously discussed in the magazine, will be present in TS2013 – players can upload their own content to Steam to share on one big place where everyone worldwide can easily access. TS2013 will come with some new routes and stock as well. The London-Brighton route, also available as separate DLC and Picture: RailSimulator.com Facebook The Railworks Magazine August 2012 reviewed in RWM11, will be default to new buyers along with the eagerly anticipated Sherman Hill, and the new Munich to Augsberg route complete with the iconic ICE3 (which has also been recently released as DLC). However, existing TS2012 users are not entitled to these routes for free; they must purchase TS2013 when it is released. This is a money-saving way to get three routes without paying for them as separate DLC, which would be a lot more costly. Some other improvements to the editor are on the way—there will be a new tool for laying overhead wires, amongst many other things. A full run-down of the features will be found in the next issue. 8
