members.The Editorial Committee shall be responsible to <strong>the</strong><br />

Executive Council <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> administration <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Society</strong>’s<br />

journal and <strong>for</strong> all matters <strong>of</strong> editorial policy, <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> administration<br />

<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Society</strong>’s Monograph Series, and <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> administration<br />

<strong>of</strong> any o<strong>the</strong>r <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Society</strong>’s publications.<br />

Hotel In<strong>for</strong>mation<br />

The conference hotel is <strong>the</strong> Delta Chelsea located at 33<br />

Gerrard Street West (between Younge Street and Bay Street).<br />

You will find that this is <strong>the</strong> most convenient place to stay<br />

during <strong>the</strong> meeting. The room prices given below are in<br />

Canadian dollars. The same rate applies to both single and<br />

double occupancy. An extra person charge <strong>of</strong> $20(C) will<br />

apply per person.<br />

All rooms are subject to <strong>the</strong> Provinical guest room tax <strong>of</strong> 4%<br />

These taxes are subject to change.<br />

To make your reservations you must call 416-595-1975 and<br />

ask to be transferred to reservations or you can call 1-800-<br />

243-5732. We are sorry, but <strong>the</strong> hotel will not allow us to use<br />

<strong>the</strong> on-line reservation <strong>for</strong>m on <strong>the</strong>ir web site. They also do not<br />

have a toll free number <strong>for</strong> outside North America. Be sure<br />

to mention that you are attending <strong>the</strong> SHOT conference. The<br />

Getting to <strong>the</strong> Delta Chelsea Hotel<br />

Directions from airport:<br />

Just 45 minutes by car from Pearson International Airport,<br />

<strong>the</strong> Delta Chelsea can be reached by taking Hwy 427 south<br />

to <strong>the</strong> QEW (Queen Elizabeth Way) to downtown Toronto.<br />

The QEW divides into <strong>the</strong> Gardiner Expressway and<br />

Lakeshore Blvd. - both <strong>of</strong> which will take you to <strong>the</strong> hotel.<br />

Take <strong>the</strong> Bay Street exit north to Gerrard Street and turn<br />

right.<br />

Directions from train station:<br />

The train station, accessed from Union subway station, is<br />

located at Front Street between Yonge and Bay Street.<br />

Take <strong>the</strong> subway from Union station north to College Park<br />

station and walk south down Yonge Street to <strong>the</strong> hotel. If<br />

you would prefer, <strong>the</strong>re are taxi stands outside <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

subway/train station on Front Street.<br />

Registration<br />

You will find a registration <strong>for</strong>m in this newsletter. Fill it out,<br />

tear at <strong>the</strong> per<strong>for</strong>ations and mail it to <strong>the</strong> Secretary’s <strong>of</strong>fice with<br />

your payment. We also have secure on-line registration on our<br />

web site www.shot.jhu.edu .Click on <strong>the</strong> Annual Meeting page<br />

<strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> link to <strong>the</strong> registration <strong>for</strong>m. We will send you a signed<br />

confirmation <strong>of</strong> your registration.<br />

SHOT Web Site Annual Meeting Page<br />

The Annual Meeting page link appears in <strong>the</strong> sidebar menu <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong> shot web site (www.shot.jhu.edu). This page will be<br />

updated whenever <strong>the</strong>re is new in<strong>for</strong>mation regarding <strong>the</strong><br />

annual meeting. It provides links to <strong>the</strong> program, <strong>the</strong> abstracts,<br />

registration, elections, hotel web site, program participants<br />

in<strong>for</strong>mation on audio-visual equipment, tour prices and status<br />

and Special Interest Group meetings. We suggest that you<br />

check it <strong>of</strong>ten in <strong>the</strong> months to come.<br />

Preliminary Program<br />

The program is also posted on <strong>the</strong> SHOT web site (with<br />

abstracts) and any changes to it will be reflected <strong>the</strong>re. Note<br />

to participants: <strong>the</strong>re have been some major changes since<br />

you were notified <strong>of</strong> your time slot. Please take a few<br />

minutes to find your spot on <strong>the</strong> program.<br />
