JACK & JOnes
Interior design of retail shops.
jack & jones is all about denim! The brand is a collection
of different sub brands, each representing different
life styles.
To give space for telling the story of each lifestyle, the
concept of the interior design is characterised by divisions
of the shop area according to these sub brands,
marked by recesses, beams, columns, and changes in
wall color and material.
jack & jones being a jeans brand, the “heart” and the
focal point of the shop always is the jeans area.
Working with the jack & jones concept at rIIS
retail, implied insight in all processes of launching a
retail shop, as the designer being the center of these
processes: Design, presentation and dialogue with the
costumer, technical documentation, budget calculation
and supervision of the building process.

Graduation project, Aarhus School of Architecture
The concept of Spiseværkstedet (The Cooking Workshop)
has its point of origin in the mission; to teach
young people how to cook healthy food, by giving them
the opportunity of “leaning by doing”. Cooking becomes
an adventure and a social, yet educating, event.
The restaurant is divided into two areas: The cookingarea
and the eating-area.
The guests collect the ingredients needed for cooking
at the “food market” area, and are guided throughout
the cooking-session by a young, talented cook.
Arival
The guests are welcomed at the workshop with an introduction to the concept by
the host(ess). Every day there is two-three recipes to chose from, and after choosing
a dish, the guests proceed to the “market place” to collect the ingredients
needed for cooking.
Cooking
The cook introduces the dish and helps the guests getting started. The cook
shows a trick or two during cooking, creating a relaxed and casual atmosphere.
Most importantly, the role of the cook is to make sure that the guests leave with a
good experience and knowledge of healthy food and cooking.
Eating
When the meal is ready, the guests proceed to the eating area, where they can
chose from number of drinks. The cook will guide them to choosing the perfect
wine for the food they have cooked.
Before leaving the workshop, the guests stop by the counter to pay for the food
and drinks consumed during the evening.

Foodstore concept & Shelving system
How can a daily necessary as food shopping be turned
into an adventure? The concept for smagssager
(Tasties) seeks to combine food shopping, knowledge
and health, creating a shopping experience much different
from traditional supermarkets, yet convenient
to the modern consumer.
When passing through the food shop, the costumer
can chose different routes; depending on the person’s
time and needs Fast lane is the route for quick
shopping. Along this route the basic articles are
placed. Slow lane is the route for absorption. Here, the
costumer can take the time to chose between various
products, and seek information about the product in
question.
The shelving system in the food shop creates these
two types of routes. The dimension and design of the
system creates smaller spaces in the shop, which
emphasizes and reinforces the perception of the two
routes. Fast lane
Hotel hjemlighed
Hotel room concept & convertible furnishing.
Feeling at home is not necessarily connected to “the
home” – it is more about tactics than a definite place.
For the guests to come closer to the homelike feeling,
it is important to create a setting where the guests
can feel comfortable and safe – a space that provides
tranquillity, when being away from home.
Convertible takes its starting point in the notion, that
a hotel room will become more homelike, if the guests
have influence on the spatial organisation. When
adjusting the furniture of the room, the quests can
organize the interior themselves, covering their varying
needs during their stay.
Convertible combines bed and table in one piece of
furniture, enabling a lot of different combinations of the
furniture.
When the bed is folded up against the wall, the table
can be unfolded. And when both beds are unfolded,
they can be pushed towards each other, creating a
double bed.
FAMILy HOUse
Housing for modern families.
New family constellations have caused a need for
housing with greater flexibility. In the home of a
modern family with children of different marriages,
the number of habitants changes from week to week.
This makes a great demand on the organization of the
interior.
This house offers flexibility for the interior organization,
both in its design and in the presence of movable walls,
enabling the union of rooms, giving the remaining
part of the family the opportunity to make use of the
released extra space.
The house also develops with the family, providing flex-
First floor
throughout senior life. Ground floor
GunnerV
Watchmaker & optician Shop
The GunnerV shop is a traditional watchmaker shop,
and has existed for more than 50 years.
Therefore the goal was to make the interior tell the history
of the shop, by using historical pictures and the municipal
town seal for wall graphics.
The project was executed in collaboration with a furniture
company, during my internship at VE2 in Aarhus.
The GunnerV shop was designed, based on a proposal
from the furniture company, and my work consisted
of adaption of the interior plan, logo design, design of
additional furniture and the production of material for
presentation.
TARGIT
Exhibition stand
Targit is a company that designs computer software
for data management and analysis. The key word is
“user-friendliness” and simplicity is a top priority.
The task for the exhibition stand was to create the
best surroundings for demonstration of the product,
signalizing professionalism and clarity in accordance
with the slogan.
Therefore the exhibition stand was given a simple yet
dramatic look, containing a number of functionalities,
such as storage and recesses for meetings and more
confidential conversations.
As an extra advantage/benefit, the furniture for the
exhibition stand was designed to being reused for
future fairs and in the company office.
