CHARDONNAY BUENA TIERRA V.
(KALIFORNIEN, USA)
Sein Vorgänger aus 2005 erhielt 97 Punkte im
Wine Spectator und folgende Bewertung: Pure
and delicious, a rich, elegant, layered expression of
Chardonnay. Tightly focused and smooth-textured,
offering a wealth of flavor built around green apple,
fig, melon, spice and a hint of lemon blossom. Ends
with a long, lingering finish. F: 0,9 cm; E: sehr gut.
SINE QUA NON ALBINO 2001 0,75L
(KALIFORNIEN, USA)
RP95: The 2001 Albino (46% Chardonnay, 40%
Roussanne and 14% Viognier) emerged primarily
from John Alban’s vineyard in Arroyo Grande as
well as the Stolpman Vineyard. Possessing
fabulous intensity, it is a full-bodied white offering
aromas of lychee nuts, citrus oils, honeysuckle, and
rose petals. F: 1,1 cm; E: gut. (634651)
BACKWARD & FORWARD
(KALIFORNIEN, USA)
RP89-92: The 1998 Roussanne and Chardonnay
Backward and Forward is a blend of 30%
Roussanne, 40% Chardonnay, and 30% Viognier.
This effort is almost over the top, but I suspect
when it is put together it will be sumptuous. Fullbodied,
dry, and thickly-textured.
OMADHAUN & POLTROON
(KALIFORNIEN, USA)
RP93: The massive, dry 1996 Omadhaun Poltron’s
15.2% alcohol is well-concealed beneath this fullbodied
wine’s glycerin and unctuous texture. The
knock-out nose of honeyed citrus and rose petals is
followed by a chewy, remarkably pure, dry wine
oozing with extract. F: 1,2 cm; E: sehr gut.
RIEN NE VA PLUS
(KALIFORNIEN, USA)
Gilt als einer der seltensten Weissweine von SQN,
meistens nur in der Collectors Box zu finden!
RP98: One of the most amazing dry whites I have
ever tasted is the 2001 Rien Ne Va Plus.
Fashioned from 100% Roussanne, and aged on its
lees for an extremely long period, my initial image
when I tasted it was of the great Barsac, the 2001
Climens. However, the Sine Qua Non wine is bone
dry with no sweetness evident. It gains in both stature
and aromatic dimension as it sits in the glass.
