About the Gheorghe Hagi Football
Academy

• Gheorghe Hagi Football Academy was founded in 2009, at the initiative of Gheorghe
Hagi, the ex great football player.
• The goal: juniors’ initiation, formation, development and preparing for the great
performance, at the highest level.
• Today, The Academy has more than 300 registered juniors, to all age groups, inluding
one profesional football team: FC VIITORUL CONSTANTA.
• Its’ first year of existence, FC Viitorul Constanta managed a remarkable overachieve:
promoting from the 3 rd League to the 2 nd League, winning the 3 rd , after an excellent
cross.
• In less than 3 years the Academy has become the greatest Football Academy in
Romania, with the highest number of players selected for the national team and with
the best results. Due to its unique social program with 66 players selected all over the
country, the results have not ceased to appear.

The club covers an area of 6,9 hectare and includes:
• 8 football courts endowed with the latest technology, in order to permit the training
throughout all the year (natural and artificial turf and nocturne system).
• 3 buildings with different functions: hotel and restaurant, spa, study rooms with internet,
cinema, medical center, gym with locker rooms, offices and reunion halls.
• Medical and technical staff, consecrated to ensuring the best conditions for training to the
players.
• “Gheorghe Hagi” Museum.

The state and inauguration of the club:
• Gheorghe Hagi Football Academy is now in the process of building and it will be finished in
2012/2013.
• Today, 7 of the 8 football courts are used, and the administrative headquarter is temporary
organized at Hotel Iaki, the same hotel where the players live in training camp conditions.
• The Academy is involved in all the internal championships in all the categories: Juniors A, Juniors
B, Juniors C, Juniors D, Hagi Danone Cup, Juniors E.

• The Partnerships have been promoted through:
o The local, regional, national championships where the Academy’s Juniors have taken
part;
o National and international football tournaments;
o Seniors National Football Championships, 3rd League and 2nd League;
o TV Show about Gheorghe Hagi Football Academy broadcasted by Digi Sport;
o National and local press (partnerships with TV Neptun and Telegraf de Constanta);
o Weekly Press conferences held at FC Viitorul Football Club;
o The main matches were broadcasted by DolceSport and Sport.RO:

Gheorghe Hagi Football Academy achievements in 2010:
o Juniors A – 3 rd place in the national ranking. Gheorghe Hagi Football Academy has defeated
Metalul Constanta with 4-1 wining bronze in National Championship.
o Juniors B – 2 nd place in the national ranking. The final was played against Dinamo Bucuresti.
o Juniors C – 1 st place in the national ranking. The final was played against Steaua Bucuresti.
o Juniors D – 3 rd place in the national ranking. Gheorghe Hagi Football Academy played
against Steaua Bucuresti.
o Juniors E – qualified for the final tournament of Hagi Danone Cup.
o Gheorghe Hagi Football Academy was the only club that climbed the podium with all its 11
players teams in 2010.
o Today, the Gheorghe Hagi Football Academy is the main supplier of players for the national
junior and youth teams.
o 23 from the players that were summoned by coaches belong to Hagi Academy!

• Gheorghe Hagi Football Academy hosted in 2010 two international football tournaments:
“Talent Cup” – international football tournament for the players born in 1993 (U17)
Attendee teams: FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Galatasaray Istanbul and Academia Gheorghe
Hagi – WINNER: REAL MADRID
“Eastern Stars Cup” – international football tournament for the players born in 1995 (U15)
Attendee teams: “Ferenc Puskas” Football Academy, Dinamo Kiev ,Dinamo Moscova,
Galatasaray Istanbul, Legia Varşovia, Levski Sofia, Partizan Belgrad and “Gheorghe Hagi”
Football Academy – WINNER: “GHEORGHE HAGI” fOOTBALL ACADEMY
• The events took part in Constanţa in August, and the matches were held on the Farul Stadium.
• It was the first time a private entity organizes international football tournaments in Romania.
• Starting with 2010 the tournaments are organized yearly, and will be included in the
competitional schedule of the international tournaments.

INTERNATIONAL RESULTS:
• The Hagi Academy’s group 1998 took part in 2010 in Portugalia, in Mundialitot
International Tournament. The tournament gathered 120 teams from all over the world.
The event is considered to be the world championship of the club teams. Hagi Academy
reached its quarterfinals.
• In april 2010, The Hagi Academy’s group 1999 took part in the football tournament held
in Buca, Turkey. The team was ranked second, being defeated by Bayer Leverkusen.
• In the spring of 2010, the 17 years team took part in „Pedja and Danilo Memorial” in
Serbia.
They were ranked no. 1, defeating Steaua Rosie Belgrad.

• Infrastructure: finishing the construction of the Academy (2012/2013).

- deepen the technical concept to the coaches;
- supplementing the age groups;
- taking part in the final tournaments;
- organizing international tournaments.
• Partners and media:
- Supplementing the Academy’s partnerships (main sponsor, technical sponsors);
- Media partnership for our project “Gheorghe Hagi teaching players the technical
individual techniques” (a series of episodes recorded on the courts that belong
to Hagi Academy).
