Michael Valiquette<br />
iis an award-winning animation<br />
producer, manager<br />
& artist. In 2008, Michael<br />
set out to unite the diverse<br />
Canadian Animation<br />
community, and founded<br />
Canadian Animation Resources,<br />
the only central,<br />
online resource catering to<br />
both the independent sector<br />
and commercial industry<br />
in Canada.<br />
Odin Dupeyron is a<br />
bestselling mexican author,<br />
actor, theater and tv<br />
director, renowned for his<br />
work portraying the character<br />
of Plaza Sésamo’s<br />
–Sesame Street in Latin<br />
America- Pancho Contreras,<br />
as well as writing<br />
the bestseller “Y colorín<br />
colorado este cuento aún<br />
no se ha acabado”. His<br />
monologue “A Vivir!” has<br />
been successfully running<br />
and touring uninterruptedly<br />
for almost 5 years.<br />
Peter J Deluca is a Layout Artist with 19 years of<br />
2D/3D experience in the Film and TV industry with<br />
credits in 15 films. He has created several traditional<br />
workbooks for animated shorts and features. His role<br />
as layout artist is in producing rough layouts for feature<br />
animated films ,establishing locations, posing characters<br />
within the scene, setting up camera mechanics. His<br />
most recent work can be seen in the Disney Production<br />
“Princess and the Frog”<br />
Joan Vogelesang<br />
Prior to joining Toon Boom, president<br />
& CEO of Toon Boom Joan held senior<br />
level marketing positions at IBM<br />
Canada & served as the Vice President<br />
of Product Line Management<br />
for Philips Electronics & Hitachi Data<br />
Systems. In 2005, just two years<br />
after Vogelesang took over as the<br />
company’s CEO, Toon Boom’s software<br />
solution, Toon Boom Opus, received<br />
a Prime Time Emmy Award.<br />
Even as she sits at the top of her industry,<br />
this CEO still exhibits the curiosity<br />
and sense of adventure that<br />
drove her to work in 2D animation in<br />
the first place.<br />
ANIMEX Founded in 2000 Animex<br />
is a Mexican Animation studio dedicated<br />
to producing original content<br />
for television, feature films and video,<br />
for local channels and for export.<br />
Their movie La Leyenda de la Nahuala<br />
is the first animated feature film to<br />
be made in Mexico. Set in 1807 the<br />
film explores the rich folk history and<br />
fantasy of Mexican culture through<br />
the eyes of a young boy named Leo<br />
San Juan. <strong>Animae</strong> <strong>Caribe</strong> is proud to<br />
present this ground breaking work to<br />
audiences.<br />
Dennis Jackson began his career<br />
watching 16mm prints of animation<br />
on aboriginal creation tales. He then<br />
volunteered at the local Saskatoon<br />
cable channel & produced a 13 part<br />
series entitled, “Voices of Aboriginal<br />
Youth,” that was nominated for<br />
Best Community Programming at the<br />
1993 Showcase Awards. In 1998 he<br />
attained his BA in Film & Video Production<br />
at the University of Regina.<br />
Wapos Bay – The Series. The pilot<br />
episode, “There’s No ‘I’ in Hockey”,<br />
won the 2006 Gemini Canada Award<br />
as well as the Best Script Dramatic &<br />
Best of Showcase Award.
