College of Paramedical Sciences<br />
Paramedical Science is an inseparable part of the health<br />
care system and runs parallel to medical science in the<br />
diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Diagnostic tools like<br />
the clinical laboratory, the x-ray, the ultra sound, CT and<br />
other invasive or non-invasive methods and therapeutic<br />
technical modes like physiotherapy, occupational therapy<br />
and speech therapy are parts of the paramedical<br />
system.Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and<br />
Industry (FICCI), pointed out that in case of paramedics<br />
acute shortage is likely to emerge in case of radiographics,<br />
ECG technicians, OT technicians,<br />
audiomotorists etc. The Prime Minister's Council on trade<br />
and industry reported that X-ray technicians required by<br />
2015 would be 12,410 and number of lab technicians<br />
required would be 62,050.<br />
