Rénovation de la Casa Cervo à Terres Basses
La rénovation de cette villa avait pour objet de sortir du
style provençal d'origine, qui avec les années était vécu
comme lourd et oppressant. Le principal travail a été de
faire pénétrer de nouveau la lumière dans cette villa.
Un soin particulier a été apporté au choix des matériaux.
La terre cuite a cédé la place à de larges dalles
de pierre de Jérusalem, dont la finesse du grain donne
une sobriété contemporaine alors que ses tons sable
assurent une atmosphère chaleureuse. Des doublages
en bardage de bois viennent camoufler des baies pocket
qui reçoivent aussi des panneaux occultants.
L'adjonction de rideaux est ainsi évitée et permet de
mieux faire jouer les contrastes des matériaux et les
nuances de couleurs. Des douches en appareillages de
pierres taillées se prolongent sur des patios extérieurs.
Cette villa a ainsi réussi sa mue gagnant en finition, en
luminosité, et en originalité, sans perdre son identité ni
son charme originel.

Restoration of the Casa Cervo in Terres Basses
The renovation of this villa aimed at replacing the
original Provinçal style which had become ponderous
and oppressive with the passing of the years. The main
task had been to allow light again in the villa. The
building materials had been chosen with great care.
The quarry tiles had been replaced by Jerusalem stone
slabs, whose thinness of grain gives a contemporary
sobriety while the sand colours ensure a warm
atmosphere. Backing linings made up of wooden
sidings cover the pocket bays which also receive
blinds. The addition of curtains is then avoided as much
as it allows better materials and colour shades
contrasts. Showers with cut stone bondings extend to
the outdoor patios. The villa had then undergone a real
transformation gaining in finish, brightness and originality
without loosing its identity and original charm.

du détail.

dynamisme créant une volumétrie harmonieuse et
vivante.
Des espaces traités en intérieur-extérieur offrent des
ambiances originales.
La villa No limit a été pensée afin d'offrir une
véritable expérience de vie tropicale.

“Villa No Limit” in Terres Basses Sint Marteen
The villa No Limit runs along a sloping side facing the
Caribbean Sea. Its architecture reveals an uncluttered but
still warm style. Contemporary materials are combined
with natural ones, such as wood shingle and cut stone
with the same quality of technicality.
The different rooms of the villa are dynamically organized
creating an appropriate and lively volume.
The interior-exterior treatment of the different spaces
contributes to create quite unusual atmospheres.
The villa No Limit was designed to experience a genuine
tropical life.

La “Villa Lagon Bleu” s'ouvre comme un éventail face à sa vue.
La perspective de l'entrée à travers une immense piscine à
débordement magnifie la vue sur lagon.
La toiture en tuiles vernissées bleues donne un éclat remarquable
à cette villa dont les murs comme blanchis à la chaux ne sont pas
sans rappeler la fraicheur des villages grecs.
Un jardin de plain-pied accompagne confortablement la descente
jusqu'au lagon où d'autres bleus attendent le regard.

The “Villa Lagon Bleu” unfolds like a fan.
At the entrance, the perspective magnifies the view of the lagoon
through the huge overflow pool.
The blue glazed tile roof gives a remarkable shine to the villa
whose walls, which give the impression to be lime rendered,
echoe the freshness of Greek villages.
A garden with the same level pleasantly follows the descending
path to the lagoon which offers other blue shades to the eye.
