Introduction to <strong>Atlas</strong> <strong>Copco</strong><br />
<strong>air</strong> <strong>motors</strong> and gear units<br />
LZB Vane <strong>motors</strong> – 0.1 kW to 1.2 kW<br />
Type LZB <strong>Atlas</strong> <strong>Copco</strong> vane <strong>motors</strong> are compact in design, light in<br />
weight, and available with a host of different gear ratios to meet a<br />
variety of speed and torque requirements. They are particularly<br />
suited to be built into hand held machines, or indeed any industrial<br />
equipment.<br />
Planetary gear units<br />
<strong>Atlas</strong> <strong>Copco</strong> planetary gear units are particularly suited for use with<br />
LZB vane <strong>motors</strong>. The gear and motor components can be accommodated<br />
within a single, extremely compact housing where they<br />
provide high torque capacity for their size and exceptional efficiency,<br />

Stainless steel <strong>air</strong> <strong>motors</strong><br />
<strong>Atlas</strong> <strong>Copco</strong>’s stainless steel <strong>motors</strong> enlarge the field of applications<br />
to areas where the environment is corrosive. This can be in<br />
the food processing industries where corroding detergents are used<br />
or in the chemical industry where the atmosphere as such is corrosive.<br />
<strong>Atlas</strong> <strong>Copco</strong>’s stainless steel <strong>motors</strong> have a “clean“ design. Their<br />
smooth surfaces are cylindrical with no pockets where dirt can<br />
collect. The <strong>motors</strong> are easy to clean.<br />
The <strong>motors</strong> have double seals in Viton at the shaft end to prevent<br />
water from entering the gears.<br />
Explosion proof<br />
Our <strong>air</strong> <strong>motors</strong> are available in explosion proof certified versions,<br />
in compliance with the European Union.s ATEX Directive on<br />
equipment for potentially explosive environments.<br />
Ex-Certified <strong>air</strong> <strong>motors</strong> are ideal in hazardous environments, where<br />
sparks or high outer temperatures might otherwise ignite explosive<br />
gases, vapour or dust.
