Association of Mining equipment, technology and Services, Austmine Limited. 

Australia’s mining technology and services sector is a leading contributor to the success 

of the global mining industry. it is Australia’s only high-technology manufacturing and 

services sector that is not under threat from our resource-driven dollar. We are proud of the 

vital contributions made by our member companies, which have created the nation’s only 

world’s best-practice industry. Australian technology and mining services assist mineral 

companies around the world to maintain safe, highly productive, sustainably profitable and 

environmentally responsible mining operations, which feed the long-term, high growth rates 

of many countries. 

in 2008, the mining industry experienced the most severe crisis in its modern history. But the 

crisis was soon eclipsed by a new era of mining technologies driven by innovation, powering 

the current global resources boom. 

Unprecedented demand driven by the needs of emerging economies, maturing ore bodies 

and fewer tier one surface deposits being discovered continually drive the search for
