Welcome to the Village of Elmvale
Welcome back to small town traditions where you’ll feel like you’re
coming home. Located north of Barrie, in the Township of Springwater,
about 90 minutes drive from Toronto, the Village of Elmvale serves a
population of up to 20,000, including summer visitors. Elmvale and its
surrounding area are largely supported through agricultural enterprises
with significant contributions from recreational activities. Enjoy their
small town traditions of friendly shopkeepers, personal attention and
quality service in a relaxed atmosphere.
With an active and engaging main street, Elmvale has art and
photography galleries, a pharmacy with pharmacist Peter Whitfield, a
well-known photographer, a modern library, more than a dozen service
clubs, five churches, public and separate elementary and high school.
Join the residents of Elmvale for the Maple Syrup Festival, Saturday,
April 20th, 2013. Over the years the Elmvale Maple Syrup Festival has
grown in popularity attracting thousands of people, to the streets and
buildings of Elmvale. Visitors and
vendors alike enjoy the hospitality of
this small Ontario town and help in
the celebration of the annual maple
syrup production. The Festival strives
to promote maple syrup products,
local arts and crafts as well as local
merchants, schools, and service
organizations.
The “running of liquid gold”
transforms the town with vendors, food galore, book sales, collectibles
and other small town treasures. This fundraising day helps support the
needs of the community with all proceeds turned back to schools,
music programs, library support, arena and community hall projects,
girl guides and scouts and more. www.elmvalemaplesyrup.ca
