ArtCamp – Mezinárodní letní škola umění | International Summer School of Art Již od roku 2005 přivádí mezinárodní letní škola umění ArtCamp pořádaná Ústavem umění a designu na Západočeskou univerzitu v Plzni stovky českých i zahraničních účastníků, pro něž kurzy letní školy představují nejen příjemné zpestření léta, ale i možnost objevit či prohloubit svůj talent nebo se připravit ke studiu umění na vysokých uměleckých školách. Její kurzy jsou vhodné jak pro širokou veřejnost od začátečníků po pokročilé, tak pro stávající i budoucí studenty uměleckých oborů. V její nabídce nechybí tradiční výtvarné techniky (např. kresba, malba, ilustrace, knižní vazba), oblíbené kurzy zaměřené na nová média (např. videotvorba, digitální fotografie, grafický design) a na design (design, digitální kresba a malba, tvorba 3D modelů v programu Rhinoceros) ani kurzy určené jako příprava ke studiu umění na vysokých uměleckých školách (např. figurální kresba, fashion design). Každý účastník má možnost si dle svého zájmu a zaměření zvolit kombinaci kurzů a tím i délku svého letního studia na UUD (jeden až tři týdny). Výuka probíhá v malých skupinách, a to zpravidla v českém a anglickém či německém jazyce. Úspěšní absolventi kurzů obdrží Osvědčení o absolvování. Každý účastník získá vedle nových zkušeností a dovedností zajisté i řadu nových přátelství a zážitků z pobytu v inspirativním prostředí. Nedílnou součástí ArtCampu je i program pro volný čas zahrnující návštěvy muzeí a galerií, přednášky, výlety, exkurze, sportovní aktivity apod. ArtCamp 2010 se bude konat v termínu 12. – 30. 7. 2010 Ever since 2005 the international summer school of art ArtCamp organised by the Institute of Art and Design brings to the University of West Bohemia hundreds of Czech and international participants for whom the art courses represent not only a pleasant way of spending their summer but also the possibility to discover or develop their talent or to prepare for studies at art universities. The courses are suitable both for the general public from beginners to advanced participants and the present or future art students. The list of ArtCamp courses includes traditional art techniques (e.g. drawing, painting, illustration, book binding), popular courses focused on new media (e.g. video making, digital photography, graphic design) and on design (design, digital drawing and painting, creation of 3D models in Rhinoceros program) and also courses designed as preparation for entrance exams to art colleges and universities (e.g. figure drawing, fashion design). Depending on their focus and interest, ArtCamp participants can choose their own combination of courses and length of their summer studies at the Institute of Art and Design (one to three weeks). Instruction is held in small groups, usually in Czech and in English or German language. Successful participants receive a Certificate of attendance. Besides new experience and skills, each participant is sure to get new friendships and experiences from staying in an inspiring environment. Free time programme represents an indispensable part of ArtCamp and includes e.g. visits to museums and galleries, lectures, excursions, trips, sports activities etc. ArtCamp 2010 will take place from July 12 th until July 30 th 2010.
