RECOGNIZING JESUS
The star of today’s Gospel
is a panhandler.
Bartimaeus is blind, yes,
but he is probably also
homeless and filthy, a real
nuisance to respectable
citizens. Even so, it is
Bartimaeus who recognizes
Jesus as the Messiah,
places all his faith in him,
throws aside everything he
has (his cloak), begs him
for mercy, receives new
vision, and follows Jesus on
the way to suffering and
death in Jerusalem.
How desperate will we
have to get before we can
do the same?

Catechism Class 2013
All returning Sec 1 students need to re-register for
catechism in 2013. The purple registration forms can
be found in the church entrance or on the shelves
beside the Parish Office. Kindly return all completed
forms by 24 Nov 2012.
Charity Sale on 3 & 4 Nov 2012, in aid of the
Canossian Myanmar Mission
The Canossians are raising funds, through the
Myanmar Livelihood Crafts to support the trainees
and orphans as well as pay the salaries of the
educators. Do support them.
RCIA 2013 will begin on Thursday 24th
Jan 2013 conducted by Fr. Richards. This
journey to know the Catholic Faith is for
all non-Christians and baptized Christians.
If you know of someone who is searching for God,
who is trying to understand the meaning of life or
wanting to know more about our faith, invite him/her
on our journey in faith, to discover for themselves
the faith we profess.
It will be held every Thursday from 7:45 - 9:45pm
in the Auditorium. Registration forms are available at
the entrance of the Church or 2nd level lift lobby.

Roman Catholic Prison Ministry
For 35 years, Roman Catholic Prison Ministry (RCPM) has been reaching out to those in
prison and ex-offenders to strengthen their faith and turn to Jesus, our savior. Our
friends (inmates and ex-inmates) along with their families live in a difficult social
environment and they really need the love, compassion and guidance of all the Catholic
community.
As Jesus helped the needy, it is our social and religious responsibility, as Catholics, to journey
with our friends providing emotional, spiritual and economic support so as to stabilize
them in the community. RCPM seeks your assistance to come forward, as volunteers,
to help our friends and their families in the capacity of Religious Counselors during the Incare
and as Befrienders during the After-care phases of incarceration.
