won a Clio for creative<br />
direction on the Molson<br />
Canadian site. Peter is<br />
co-founder of Webridge,<br />
an enterprise application<br />
software company<br />
in Hillsboro, Oregon,<br />

Aaron Feves received<br />
an M.B.A. from the<br />
Terry <strong>College</strong> of<br />
Business at the<br />
University of Georgia,<br />

Design. He has recently<br />
moved to New<br />
York City, where he<br />
is pursuing a Ph.D. in<br />

He plans to return to<br />
the west coast of<br />
Canada to conduct<br />
research. Stevie<br />
Greathouse earned<br />
a master’s in urban<br />
and regional planning<br />
from Portland State<br />
University in 1997 and<br />
now works as a longrange<br />
city planner for<br />
the city of Portland.<br />
Ben Salzberg is living<br />
in Portland, working<br />
on recording music,<br />
cooking, riding his bike,<br />
“and dreaming of travel<br />
to exotic locales. “<br />

Suzy Garren is teaching<br />
middle school in<br />
the Bay Area and is<br />
enjoying vegetable<br />
gardening and trekking<br />
in the Sierras. Greg<br />
Rohda reports that he<br />
is married and “living<br />
well” in Cambridge,<br />
Massachusetts. Bear<br />
Wilner plans to start<br />
law school at Lewis &<br />

completed a two-year<br />

associate program and<br />
has relocated to Jakarta,<br />
where he is head of<br />
corporate finance with<br />
Citibank Indonesia.<br />
Ellen Broudy is working<br />
for a graphic and<br />
web design firm in<br />
Manhattan and is planning<br />
to move to Jersey<br />
City or Hoboken, New<br />
Jersey. Sara Frank is<br />
writing her thesis in<br />
completion of an M.F.A.<br />
in fiction writing at<br />
Columbia University.<br />
Chris Lovell and<br />
Amanda Wilcox are<br />
living in Austin, Texas,<br />
where Chris is continuing<br />
in the graduate program<br />
in classics at the<br />
University of Texas and<br />
recently completed his<br />
master’s report on the<br />
catalog of women in<br />
the Odyssey. Amanda<br />
is working on her Ph.D.<br />
dissertation on Latin<br />
epistolography in the<br />
classical studies department,<br />
University of<br />

Weisman is teaching<br />
math and computer science<br />
at Commonwealth<br />
High School in Boston<br />
and is also designing<br />

Akesha Baron is now<br />
the proud owner of a<br />
house and a fiancé. She<br />
is attending graduate<br />
school at the University<br />
of Washington, where<br />
she reports she is “coasting<br />
through on the glimmers<br />
of knowledge” she<br />
gained in the <strong>Reed</strong> SU.<br />
She continues to be interested<br />
in Mesoamerican<br />
languages and studies<br />
Zapotec in Oaxaca.<br />
Courtney Jackson is<br />
surviving her third year<br />
of medical school at<br />
Oregon Health Sciences<br />
University and expects<br />
to graduate in June<br />
2002. She lives in northeast<br />
Portland. Kimberly<br />
Kubick is in the nursemidwife<br />
program at<br />
Vanderbilt University<br />
and plans to graduate<br />
in January 2002. Leo<br />
Macdonald spent the<br />
past three years working<br />
for GE Research and<br />
Development, inventing<br />
new parts and processes<br />
for jet engines. He lives<br />
in Schenectady, New<br />
York. Thor Mann is in<br />
his first year in an organizational<br />
psychology<br />
Psy.D. program at the<br />

Rutgers. He reports that<br />

has been in Cambridge,<br />

again. After graduating<br />
from <strong>Reed</strong>, Raymond<br />
Tsou worked at the<br />
University of Washington<br />
for three years as a<br />
lab technologist. He<br />
is currently in his first<br />
year of dental school at<br />
Tufts University, School<br />
of Dental Medicine,<br />
in Boston.<br />
1998<br />
Mark Jarvis is currently<br />
a research assistant<br />
at Oregon Health<br />
Sciences University,<br />
Portland. He is in the<br />
process of applying to<br />
graduate school. After<br />
a year in rural Japan<br />
and a year studying at<br />
the Hopkins-Nanjing<br />
Center in Nanjing,<br />
China, Laura Peterson<br />
is working at the security<br />
firm Pinkerton (China)<br />
in Shanghai. Her work<br />
is in intellectual property<br />
rights protection,<br />
investigating and busting<br />
counterfeiters of<br />
consumer goods. After<br />
a stint as a professional<br />
singer, composer,<br />
and summer camp<br />
administrator, John<br />
Vogt started work on a<br />
master’s in music education<br />
at the University<br />
of Colorado–Boulder,<br />
which he expects to<br />
finish next semester.<br />
He hopes to teach in<br />
a non-affluent, urban<br />
