Hypothesis 5b predicted there would be a significant, positive correlation between<br />

Coping (The Brief Cope Emotion-Focused Scale) and depression (BDI-II). The Bivariate<br />

comparisons measured how dimensions from the Brief Cope Emotion Focused scale and<br />

the BDI-II are related. Results <strong>of</strong> the correlational analysis found a significantly positive<br />

relationship exists between emotion focused coping style and depression scores among<br />

CABG patients (Table 11).<br />
