necessary. In addition, stakeholders will be informed about the project website where they can access<br />
information and submit comments.<br />
4.5 Dispute Resolution<br />
IDOT is committed to working with all agencies and stakeholders in the study process to indentify<br />
issues early and seek consensus on disagreements.<br />
IDOT is committed to building stakeholder consensus for decisions. However, if an impasse has been<br />
reached after making good faith efforts to address unresolved concerns, IDOT may proceed to the<br />
next stage <strong>of</strong> project development without achieving consensus. In the case <strong>of</strong> an unresolved dispute<br />
between the agencies, IDOT will notify stakeholders <strong>of</strong> their decision and proposed course <strong>of</strong> action.<br />
