Based on the above methodology, grouped into 4 groups, participants identified key<br />

P/E stakeholders based on 2 case studies (see annex 2 and 3). The outcome of the<br />

group work is presented on pages 11-14.<br />

The different scenarios depicted in the case studies are represented by either a<br />

circle or a square for the results of each group’s feedback. The case studies link<br />

poverty environment challenges and opportunities with respect to various<br />

environmental issues. A brief of the case studies is as below. See annex 2 and 3 for<br />

the full descriptions.<br />

Case study 2: Linking poverty and environment with respect to challenges and<br />

opportunities in the management of energy, pollution/waste management and<br />

climate change. The environmental issues that the case study focused on were:<br />

land and range land degradation, water resource management and biodiversity<br />

conservation and sustainable utilisation.<br />

Case study 3: Linking poverty and environment with respect to challenges and<br />

opportunities in the management of energy, pollution/waste management and<br />

climate change. This case study focused on the energy sector, pollution and waste<br />

management and climate change issues.<br />
