Based on the above methodology, grouped into 4 groups, participants identified key
P/E stakeholders based on 2 case studies (see annex 2 and 3). The outcome of the
group work is presented on pages 11-14.
The different scenarios depicted in the case studies are represented by either a
circle or a square for the results of each group’s feedback. The case studies link
poverty environment challenges and opportunities with respect to various
environmental issues. A brief of the case studies is as below. See annex 2 and 3 for
the full descriptions.
Case study 2: Linking poverty and environment with respect to challenges and
opportunities in the management of energy, pollution/waste management and
climate change. The environmental issues that the case study focused on were:
land and range land degradation, water resource management and biodiversity
conservation and sustainable utilisation.
Case study 3: Linking poverty and environment with respect to challenges and
opportunities in the management of energy, pollution/waste management and
climate change. This case study focused on the energy sector, pollution and waste
management and climate change issues.
