TREASURER REPORT: This is not to be on the internet, therefore, it’s not<br />
included here. Reports are shared at each meeting with those in attendance.<br />
NEW ITEMS:<br />
1. November meeting to be on Saturday November 17th at 10:00am. Held at the<br />
Helen Thompson School, Spears Corner Rd, West Gardiner.<br />
2. <strong>2012</strong> Banquet date is February 9, 2013 at T&B in Waterville, more details to follow.<br />
3. Add to Agenda: Remember to look at the by-laws that were sent to you in August -<br />
there were some notations in red after some that we will discuss & vote to see if you<br />
want to keep them or revise them.<br />
4. Revisit the rule where if the timer malfunctions & you hit either a barrel or pole do<br />
you get a rerun.<br />
5. Discuss fair shows - Skowhegan show will be at night time - look at making our<br />
show shorter so we are not running really late. Our day program lasted 7 hours!<br />
6. MESS show - Harry needs to know if we are coming or not before the Feb meeting<br />
so we will vote on this show. The date would be Sunday July 14th. We have all day<br />
w/no time limit. Do we want to consider pointing this show? The arena is really<br />
nice!<br />
7. Here are some suggestions from our members to be discussed at the November<br />
meeting:<br />
a) Youth classes be separated by age group 12 & under & 13-17.<br />
b) If you change to the above consider making it a straight paid class as the<br />
classes will be smaller.<br />
c) Keep N/G classes at the fair shows<br />
d) Change 4D Open <strong>Barrel</strong>s to being the <strong>Maine</strong> 4D <strong>Barrel</strong> Class since that<br />
is our big class now & change the <strong>Maine</strong> 2D <strong>Barrel</strong>s would be changed to Senior<br />
<strong>Barrel</strong>s 18 + over. The saddle year end award would be in the 4D <strong>Maine</strong> <strong>Barrel</strong><br />
Class. This would make the 2nd barrel class a little smaller & seniors have 2 runs<br />
& youth have 2 runs<br />
e) Take N/G champions out of Grand Entry to cut down on crowding -<br />
practice grand entry after a show so it looks good.<br />
8. Getting sponsors for the 2013 season.<br />
9. Discuss not having 3 different show programs - this was too difficult for the<br />
show secretaries - we need to review that for next year!<br />
10. Cap our shows<br />
11. Review the awards, now that we have divisioned all our classes we have not been<br />
consistant in the number of placings in the year end awards. Would like to review & try<br />
to make all the same.<br />
12. Discuss Litchfield show for 2013 season
13. Members please bring any new arenas to the meeting to discuss or any other<br />
ideas.<br />
14. Review the number of shows/classes that people have to ride in to qualifty for a<br />
year end award.<br />
15. Jodi has volunteered to do the points next year.<br />
16. The Charette's will not be able to do the booklet for us so we will need someone or<br />
a few volunteers to do this for the club. So that being said when you get a sponsor for<br />
the booklet next show season you MUST get the ad all ready to print in the proper size<br />
that you want from your sponsor. Putting the booklet together is a tough & time<br />
consuming job. So even if you renew an ad next show season you need to get a new ad<br />
already to print.<br />

end awards. Either they didn't attend enough shows or didn't get a sponsor. NQ stands<br />

sponsor yourself or get $30 worth of sponsor money from a business. You<br />
must also compete in half of our shows this season.<br />
