TEACHING EXPERIENCE
2 Years of full time classroom teaching (Physics, Mathematics)
5 years of part-time group coaching to college students (Physics)
BRIEF RESEARCH ACTIVITIES
University of Arizona
• Downscaling NCEP2 reanalysis for the period 1979-2010 at NARCCAPS domain (CORDEX
North American domain) using WRF regional Climate Model at 50 km coarse and 10 km nested
domains.
• Analysis of downscaled data for extreme monsoon precipitations in NW United States and
comparison with hourly stations observations
• Studying pattern of US precipitation and its relation to the climate (temperature)
LMD Ecole Polytechnique
• Coupling Regional Climate Model WRF with GCM IPSL for air quality regional model CHIMERE
• Downscaling experiments of the GCM – WRF to regional levels (CORDEX)
Environmental Change Institute, NUIG, Ireland
• Statistical data analysis
• Implementation of new numerical modules in climate model
• Operational, calibration, analysis and quality assurance of observational data
NASA - Jet Propulsion Laboratory, USA
• Analysis of filamentation along a cluster of trajectories calculated using ECMWF meteorological
analysis.
• The high resolution 3-D CTM is implemented on JPL supercomputer ORION for detailed analysis of
lidar data at TMF and MLO.
• Further study of filaments by comparing the results along the path of MLS.
CNRS - Service d’Aeronomie, Paris, France
• To insure that the French Polar Institute who launches the sondes gets the right information in
order to launch at the right time, and to supervise the whole involvement in the campaign.
This also includes the Match data analysis and maintenance of data transmission to the QUOBI
data center at NILU.
• The validation of model results with some independent polar stratospheric observations like ER-2
flight missions in the arctic 1999-2000 Arctic winter, EUPLEX mission in arctic winter
2002-2003, ozonesonde observations in Arctic and Antarctic, POAM-III observations of
Antarctic etc.
Antarctica, Indian Antarctic Station, Matri, Antarctica
• The estimation of the vertical profile of ozone using Laser Heterodyne System (LHS) with 1 GHz
acosto-optic spectrometer
• Measurements of total ozone, water vapour and aerosol optical thickness using sun photometer on
hourly basis.
• Responsible for the management and operation of instruments during the entire period of the
expedition including operation of a mini liquid nitrogen plant to produce liquid nitrogen to cool LHS
detector
