VISION for Library Transformation<br />

<strong>Sunnyside</strong> <strong>School</strong> <strong>District</strong> is transforming teaching<br />

and learning through technology. With the infusion of<br />

digital g devices and multimedia in our classrooms and<br />

school work environment, our libraries are expanding<br />

their value in our educational vision and mission as<br />

the center of digital learning and information<br />

resources.

The Changing Role of the Library Clerk<br />

Support of the school and <strong>library</strong> mission in<br />

providing 21st Century learning to our students will<br />

need to include staff with strong technology<br />

operational and management skills skills. With this need in<br />

mind, district staff and school librarians have begun<br />

to explore the possibilities and options for the<br />

<strong>transformation</strong> of our school libraries.

Media Center Technician<br />

Current employees in the Library Clerk position will<br />

have an opportunity to choose to move forward with<br />

a new role and receive technical training/mentoring<br />

or bid for other vacancies across the district.<br />

No one will lose their job with this transition.
