With more than 400 internship placements a year, the Sturm College of law is an active part of the legal
and business communities in denver.
you’ll be studying law just a few miles from the Colorado state capitol building, the U.S. Court of Appeals
for the Tenth Circuit, the U.S. district Court of Colorado, the Colorado Supreme Court, the Colorado
Court of Appeals and state trial courts. Most U.S. government agencies have offices in denver, as do
national law firms and an array of multinational companies.
The Sturm College of law opens these doors for you with internships. Student interns are actively
pursued by local firms and offices. each year our students work with corporate in-house counsel, private
firms, government and non-profit agencies and judges at all levels. As an intern, you’ll work under the
supervision of a mentor-attorney and gain experience drafting briefs, performing legal research, drafting
legal memoranda, appearing in court and interviewing clients and witnesses. It’s a great way to earn
academic credit, get real-world experience and build your résumé.
