“I know I won’t be starving when I get home.
I know some people out there are really
trying to help me when I’m hungry. I thank
them a lot because if they weren’t there I’d
just be hungry.”
Jimmy, 10, Harvesters’ BackSnack Student
Kellybrook Elementary School, Liberty, Mo.
27,919 donors contributed
of nutritious, kid-friendly food to
13,525 students a week in 301
schools.
Grocery store shoppers gave
$331,840 through Check-Out
“We are a neighborhood school and so when
you look around and see some of the new
development going on just on the other side of
our school, it makes it seem as if we wouldn’t
have a hunger problem, but we really do.
The BackSnacks that we send home on the
weekends… may be the only food some kids
get on the weekend before they get back to us.”
Andrea Wilson, Principal
Kellybrook Elementary School, Liberty, Mo.
