SR<br />

<strong>Self</strong>-<strong>regulating</strong> heating <strong>cables</strong> consist of two parallel bus wires embedded in a networked plastic heating<br />

element, doped with surrounding carbon particles. If the temperature increases during operation, the plastic<br />

expands due to molecular expansion and the distances between the carbon particles increases. Resistance<br />

increases and output drops. When it cools down, this process is reversed and output increases.<br />

Depending on the construction, <strong>Web</strong>Heat SR is available in 2 or 3 different protection and jacket options:<br />

AO: Aluminium foil with a thermoplastic outer jacket<br />

The heating <strong>cables</strong> with this design are especially easy to assemble and a quick heat transfer. This<br />

design is available for all low-temperature and medium-temperature tapes.<br />

BO: Protective braiding with a thermoplastic outer jacket<br />

This design provides you with even better mechanical protection with its special tin-plated copper<br />

braiding. The BO design is available for all low temperature and medium temperature tapes.<br />

BOT: Protective braiding with fluoropolymer outer jacket<br />

The fluoropolymer outer jacket (better known as Teflon) simply makes the heating cable<br />

indestructible: it even withstands aggressive chemicals, oil and fuel. This outer jacket is available for<br />

the SR-N.<br />
