Engineering
The company carries out refit, repair and new build contracts on
commercial and military vessels of up to 24m built in steel, aluminium
and GRP.
FITTER/ENGINEER
Tasks will include the installation and maintenance of machinery and
systems in commercial craft. An understanding of fuel, cooling, hydraulic,
and fresh water systems will be advantageous.
MARINE ELECTRICIAN
Duties will include the installation and maintenance of electrical
components and systems from 12v DC to 415v AC throughout all aspects
of commercial workboats, pilot boats and patrol craft. Experience in the
installation of navigation and communication systems and knowledge of
CAN Bus control and monitoring systems would be advantageous.
SHIPWRIGHT/JOINER
Experienced in fitting out and GRP Laminating. Applicants from
non-marine backgrounds, such as bench joiners or finishing joiners
will be considered.
The successful candidates should be physically fit, highly motivated, have
good organisational skills and be capable of working without supervision.

Youare likely to have aseagoing background; be familiar with and experienced
in operating and maintaining boat moorings that are subject tostrong weather;
able to demonstrate good supervisory, training and record keeping skills;
knowledgeable of relevant health &safety law; preferably aqualified first aider;
and have practical handyman skills. Youwill be able to work alone with astrong
“hands on” work ethic, within apart time volunteer run members’ organisation.
Duties include: day today and annual maintenance of the Club’s 190 harbour
moorings; running the seasonal launch service, including training of drivers
and maintenance of two launches; keeping all records of maintenance, fuel,
safety matters, rota’s, hours worked; laying racing marks; building and grounds
maintenance.
This is amonthly salaried occupation, basic 40 hour week but flexible to meet
seasonal sailing demands including weekends; 28 days holiday ayear; overtime
for any public holiday worked; sick pay scheme.
