running out
. Each of the Jersey Cape's 16 municipalities has its
own personality. Just like children in the same
family are different in their outlook?, demeanors,
• philosophies, etc- so too the cities, boroughs and
townships in Cape May County have their own
ways of doing things, their" specific attractfbns and
-growth potentials! •
The city of Cap* May is really a Victorian village.
Compact-and quaint, it lends iWelf to walking
tours and casual strolls. The city of Ocean City, On
the other hand, is really the only.city In the county
if one considers size, large numbers of year-round
Inhabitants, the variety and scope of its cultural,
recreational and business offerings Somewhat in
between is the dty of Sea Isle City. We've ahvays
viewed Sea Isle as the closest the'Jersey Ope has
to a town that's very much Hke a fishing village.
The point is that, especially in the**? hard economic
tlmes.it would behoove each jaf-the Jersey
Cape municipalities to begin the lengthy, costly
process of capitalizing on its uniqueness, Charrh
.and potential to attract tourists back to the Jersey
