DESC: Three Items for the M256A2 Chemical Agent Detector Kit (CADK) Program are to be produced and
delivered under the contract: the M256A2 CADK (end item) and its 2 individual Refill Kits.Item
#1Sampler-Detector Refill Kit; NSN: 6665-01-564-2644; Part Number (P/N): 5-77-3500.Item #2Low
Volatility Hazard (LVH) Refill Kit; NSN: 6665-01-564-3795; P/N: 5-77-3501.Item #3M256A2 CADK; NSN:
6665-01-563-7473; P/N: 5-77-3497.The M256A2 CADK is a man portable and expendable kit, capable of
detecting and identifying hazardous chemical agents, whether vapor or liquid.The M256A2 is primarily
constructed of fabric, and contains the two Refill Kits.There is a booklet of M8 paper that detects liquid
chemical agents.The Refill Kits contain samplers that detect agent vapors or collect liquid samples.
The solicitation will be issued for unrestricted competition.The anticipated contract to result is a 3 year,
indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract.Minimum guaranteed quantity will be 2,000 each, of
the three items. Passing of First Article Testing will be required for the M256A2 CADK, to include the two
refill kits contained therein, prior to production.Quantity-Price Ranges will be utilized to set fixed unit prices
over the 3 year term of the contract.For production supplies the FOB is Destination.Estimated issue date is 01
Feb 2010.
This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies
will not be provided.Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by

CAUTION:This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto.Because of this, the
Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list.It is therefore
incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any
amendments which may be issued.Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the
date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and
result in the rejection of same.
The solicitation incorporates a Technical Data Package (TDP) that cannot be provided via the
internet.Vendors who need this TDP in order to prepare a bid or proposal are instructed to request same by
