Dear Friends,
Whether you’re a “regular” or picking up this newsletter for
the first time, we hope you find our wide range of offerings
beneficial to your health and well-being. Classes, groups,
resources and more are provided at TSRC at low or no cost.
For this reason, fundraising is crucial to our sustainability.
You can help support TSRC and four other communitybased
UM programs serving older adults in two delicious
and fun ways. Big Hearts for Seniors (BHS) is a collaborative
fundraising and awareness team whose efforts help to sustain Ann Arbor Meals on
Wheels, Housing Bureau for Seniors, Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, Silver Club
Memory Programs, and Turner Senior Resource Center. Stop by TSRC and pick up
a coupon for use at Café Marie on Plymouth Rd. anytime between September
13th and 19th and BHS will receive 25% of your bill. Also consider walking or
running (1 mile, 5K, or 10K) for the BHS team in the Big House Big Heart race to be
held in April, 2013. It’s great fun to cross the finish line in the UM stadium and see
yourself on the Jumbotron! We’ll be organizing the team this Fall and all are welcome.
