DANCE CONSERVATORY OF VALENCIA – ADVANCE STUDIES (DCV-AS) 

The Erasmus Program under the Lifelong Learning Program, is the European Community Program 

in the field of higher education. It is organized by the national agency OAPEE (Autonomous 

Organization for the European Educational programs). 

The Erasmus program seeks to enhance the quality, the transparency and full academic 

recognition in Dance Degree and Postgraduate courses. It is also an encouraging transnational 

cooperation between European Universities. As well as student exchange, teacher and staff 

mobility, and it also gives the opportunity to improve language learning, intercultural skills, enriches 

student’s lives in the academic and professional fields. 

It is the Erasmus Department Office of the Dance Conservatory of Valencia-Advance Studies 

which manages the mobility programs.

INFORMATION ABOUT VALENCIA 

It is very stimulating to dance in Valencia, because it is located on the east 

Mediterranean coast of the Iberian Peninsula, Valencia is Spain’s third largest city after 

Madrid and Barcelona and has quickly become one of the most exciting cities offering 

wonderful weather which is very gently regulated by the sea. Valencia's pleasant 

Mediterranean climate means that any time is a good time to study in Valencia. Typical 

Valencia weather patterns include hot summers 30ºC- 37ºC, mild winters 15ºC-17ºC. 

The airport is situated 8 km west of the downtown of Valencia, and it has flight 

connections to the rest of European countries. Valencia has a variety of high level 

traditional universities offering a wide range of careers which attract local and foreign 

students. We also have a professional Spanish foreign language schools, that offer a 

range of different services. 

Valencia is one of the most beautiful cities in the country with more than 20 centuries of 

history, with its exuberant variety of perfectly kept flora and lush gardens as well as 

breathtaking architecture, monuments and visitor attractions. We can start at the 

Museum of Fine Arts and finish at the Botanic Gardens. 

The Mediterranean cuisine is the considered very healthy due to its variety of 

vegetables and seafood. The city is very active and attractive for entertainment during 

night or day, it is also known as a great shopping city.

VALENCIA LOCATION 

GETTTING TO VALENCIA 

We have multiple ways to get to Valencia. One is through Manises Airport, eight miles 

from the city. Taxis are located outside the terminal, and the trip to downtown takes 

about 15 minutes. Subway Line 5 connects the airport with the city. This line connects 

the airport to the port of Valencia, the beaches and the train station. 

From the airport you can also take two buses to Valencia, one going north to the 

station or town center, which operates from 6.00 am to 22.00 hours, and the central 

bus station, line 150 where the route takes about 45 minutes. 

The railway station in Valencia is connected to most Spanish cities, while the bus 

station is very close to the neighborhood “Carmen”.

STUDY DANCE PROGRAM 

The Dance Degree Program is divided into two specialties, Dance Pedagogy, 

Choreography and Performance. The duration of the program is 4 courses divided in 8 

semesters

To obtain a graduate degree it is required to have completed and passed 240 ECTS. 

The 4 courses are divided into 8 semesters, meaning 2 each academic year. There are 

compulsory and optional subjects and final Degree Project.
