One century experience <strong>and</strong> know-how

HISTORICAL NOTES<br />
On the 3rd of March 1909 LUIGI BOLDROCCHI established<br />
its activity with the first orders for the supply of ten centrifugal<br />
fans.<br />
In 1911 the “Officine Termo Meccaniche BOLDROCCHI” was<br />
set up in Milano with an operating area of 3000 sq.m..<br />
In 1914 the first plant for air pollution control was produced.<br />
The Company offered a wide range of products including<br />
radial <strong>and</strong> axial fans, fire-tube boilers, coolers, dryers, ventilating<br />
<strong>and</strong> heat-exchange units <strong>and</strong> plants.<br />
In 1926, the licence for the manufacture of finned tubes was<br />
acquired in the USA <strong>and</strong> the manufacture of extended surface<br />
heat-exchangers was developed.<br />
From then on, the product range has been enlarged, above all<br />
as regards to air cooled heat exchangers, process fans, heavy<br />

Acustica.<br />
In the nineties the acquisition of two companies: Aeroto,<br />
active since 1952 in <strong>gas</strong> <strong>turbine</strong> silencing, <strong>and</strong> De Cardenas, expert in diverter dampers, allowed<br />
BOLDROCCHI to obtain new market opportunities as supplier of air intake <strong>and</strong> exhaust systems.<br />

TODAY<br />
<strong>Boldrocchi</strong> Group at present includes several<br />
companies in Italy, in Europe <strong>and</strong> in U.S.A.; new<br />
branches are in the process of being set up in the<br />
Far East <strong>and</strong> South America.<br />
BOLDROCCHI Company employs 300 people,<br />
among them 100 technicians, in two workshops<br />
with a covered manufacturing area of about 27.000<br />
sq. m., both equipped with thermal, acoustic <strong>and</strong><br />
aeraulic test facilities.<br />
<strong>Boldrocchi</strong> production is divided into four main<br />
lines: heat exchange (exchangers <strong>and</strong> coolers),<br />
fans, industrial <strong>noise</strong> <strong>protection</strong> <strong>and</strong> air pollution<br />
control.<br />
Today production features highly specialised<br />
technical content, many years of “on site”<br />
experience, flexibility in design <strong>and</strong> production<br />
together with high quality st<strong>and</strong>ards. Supplies are<br />
CAD workstation in Engineering Department<br />
tailor made to fit customers’ specific requirements.<br />
BOLDROCCHI Quality system has been certified<br />
according to ISO 9001 since 1993 <strong>and</strong> approved by A.S.M.E. Code since 1998<br />
A wide range of materials are usually utilized: steel, copper <strong>and</strong> aluminium alloys, titanium <strong>and</strong> plastic<br />
materials; more than 100 welding processes have been qualified. The products are subject to<br />
intermediate <strong>and</strong> final testings, witnessed by the Customers.<br />
BOLDROCCHI can supply large equipment, mainly outsourced close to the final destination <strong>and</strong> giving<br />
on-site after sales service.<br />
