SPORTS NEWS<br />
Boys Football<br />
On Monday 29th March both A and B teams played<br />
in a league match against Priory Fields. A team<br />
won 5-0 and the B team finished 2-2. Both teams<br />
remain unbeaten in the league this season.<br />
Netball<br />
Following last weeks success at our family netball<br />
tournament the team went through to The School<br />
Sports Partnership finals at DGGS on Tuesday. The<br />
finals were played within a round-robin league.<br />
River played excellent netball winning all of their<br />
games which meant we retained the trophy and<br />
now go on to represent Dover and Deal District at<br />
The Kent School Games on Friday 2nd July. Great<br />
teamwork - well done!<br />
Polite Reminder<br />
Please could you ensure that your child has a<br />
complete PE/Games kit in school at all times. PE kit<br />
should consist of shorts, house t-shirt and plimsoles.<br />
Games kit consists of sports tracksuit, house t-shirt,<br />
shorts (for summer) and trainers. Please NO football<br />
shirts. PE/Games forms part of the National<br />
Curriculum and also offers the children the<br />
opportunity to begin to understand ways to lead a<br />
healthy, active lifestyle leading to life long<br />
enjoyment and participation in sport.<br />

LONDON MARATHON<br />
Mrs Lorraine Lyons, one of our volunteer parents, will be running the London Marathon on 25 th April in support of<br />
the Parkinson’s Disease society. Anyone wishing to donate or show their support can do so via<br />
http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/LorraineLyons or indeed Mrs Lyons will be in the playground on the first week<br />
back.<br />

A reminder about this scheme to provide computers to<br />
families in certain circumstances. Further information is<br />
