STUDIO ART MAJOR WITH<br />
ENTREPRENEURSHIP CONCENTRATION<br />
Credits: 66 Studio art with entrepreneurship track:<br />
48 credits in art plus 18 credits in entrepreneurship.<br />
Program Outcomes:<br />
• Studio art majors will experiment with a variety of<br />
techniques and media and demonstrate mastery over<br />
these studio skills. Mastery of skills will be displayed in<br />
the form of a senior art exhibition. The student will also<br />
explore other venues for exhibiting art work outside of<br />
the college community.<br />
• Studio art majors will develop, apply and create works<br />
which demonstrate their creativity and mastery skills in<br />
the form of a senior portfolio. This portfolio will prepare<br />
students for art competition, job interviews and serve as<br />
a record of technical range of skills and style.<br />
• Studio art majors will summarize their design and<br />
creative thinking process in both oral and written form<br />
as part of their senior portfolio review. The student will<br />
be able to formulate a business plan after interviewing<br />
successful gallery owners and others working on<br />
innovative art enterprises.<br />
