Perhaps the hardiest of the southern magnolias, and a heavy bloomer,<br />
producing an abundance of large, fragrant, pure white flowers in<br />
summer and fall. Prune the side branches back on young plants to<br />
develop strength for snow loads on this very broad-leaved evergreen.<br />
