All of our i-limb ultra, i-limb digit and livingskin products are supported by dedicated prosthetic, therapy
and technical staff.
Training: We provide comprehensive training for each of our i-limb
products. New customers can request on-site training sessions
when they start to fi t i-limb ultra or i-limb digits to their patients.
Ongoing Support: Whether you need in-person support at your
facility, at one of our own Touch Life Center facilities, online therapy
assistance during a patient fi tting, or simply need to discuss an
unexpected challenge over the phone, we are here to help.
Patient Outcome Support: We help our customers to capture
key metrics around the usage and outcomes of Touch Bionics’

Powered by Touch Bionics’ biosim software, the i-limb ultra
is the most versatile prosthetic hand available, providing the
ability to customize the hand for a broad range of activities.
Utilizing its pulsing and Vari-grip features,
the i-limb ultra is the only prosthetic hand
with the ability to gradually increase the
strength of its grip on an object.
All new in i-limb ultra:

nature of the uncovered i-limb
prosthesis, i-limb skin active is
a thin layer of semi-transparent,
flesh colored or black material
that has been designed to
conform to every contour
of the hand.
Touch Bionics introduces virtu-limb,
the ground breaking simulation and training
product for myoelectric upper limb prostheses.
This product can be used with or without the i-limb ultra
prosthetic hand, with the option of using an on-screen
virtual representation of an i-limb ultra.
The virtu-limb system connects wirelessly to your PC via Bluetooth
software and allows you to control an i-limb ultra or its virtual
representation through the provided electrodes or FSR touchpads.
virtu-limb can be used for a variety of purposes:
• Measuring patients’ myoelectric signals to determine
the best muscle sites for their prosthesis
• Training patients how to control their muscle signals
• Training patients how to use the i-limb ultra features
• Demonstrating i-limb ultra to potential patients
i-limb digits is the fully customized electronic prosthesis
for people with missing fingers or partial hands.
With i-limb digits, anywhere from one to five missing fingers can
be replaced with one of our individually powered prosthetic digits.
These digits, which move independently and bend at the joints,
work in conjunction with any remaining fingers to help increase
functional capabilities.
Every person with missing digits is unique and so each i-limb digits
solution is custom made to fit. There are many different ways to create
an i-limb digits prosthesis, but the goal is always the same: to provide
a solution that will help increase function and independence.
Providing the user a lifelike
silicone covering, i-limb
skin natural is available
in male and female versions
with 10 different skin shades.
For the most realistic covering option
possible, this is a fully customized
silicone covering that exactly matches
the user’s skin tone and features.
For patients who prefer something
different, the custom design of i-limb
skin match can also be extended to
creative, artistic designs.

Software
Touch Bionics has developed the biosim-i software
interface for people who use the i-limb ultra, connecting
via a Bluetooth ® wireless connection and providing a range
of control options and training features.
Patients can use biosim-i to select the grip patterns and hand
features required, including the option to create custom gestures.
Built-in training modes are included to help them achieve better
results with their prosthesis.
Selecting the “health check” mode diagnoses the hand to ensure
it is functioning as it should, or if the patient should contact their
prosthetist to arrange for a service.
Designed for use by clinical professionals, biosim-pro
is a software tool that provides enhanced features and
control settings for i-limb ultra and i-limb digits devices.
biosim-pro provides prosthetists and therapists with the ability
to help their patients select the grip patterns and hand features
that best suit their daily needs.
Clinicians can use biosim-pro to access usage information for
Touch Bionics’ prostheses, which provides useful insight into how
their patients are using the device, and can provide diagnostic
information regarding the relative health of the prosthesis.
The software also contains training modes, which clinicians can
use to help patients practise how to activate triggers and achieve
greater levels of competence with their device.
Passive prostheses
Hand crafted from high definition silicone and hand painted
to match skin tone and appearance, our livingskin prostheses
are very realistic. We can create livingskin prostheses for
parts of fingers, whole fingers, hands and entire arms.
At Touch Bionics, we take care to ensure that the detail of these
prostheses is remarkable, introducing features such as freckles,
hairs and tattoos. A livingskin prosthesis is designed to
be unnoticed.
In addition to the realistic appearance of our livingskin products,
it’s important to remember that passive prostheses like these still
have functional capabilities. This includes actions such as pushing,
pulling, stabilizing, supporting, light grasping and typing.
living image is an advanced color acquisition system that captures
accurate skin tone, features and shape, in a single calibrated and
light-controlled device. This patent-pending technology removes
the need for previously time-consuming and error-prone color
matching practices.
living image then sends the color-calibrated image over the
internet direct to Touch Bionics’ livingskin production facility,
significantly shortening the production time of the prosthesis.
