LabQuest ® 2 and the<br />
Connected Science System ®<br />
Data Sharing Gives Educators Maximum Versatility<br />
The theme of the year for <strong>Vernier</strong> has been “Connectivity.” In March of<br />
2012, we announced our most advanced interface ever, LabQuest 2.<br />
LabQuest 2 includes built-in Wi-Fi, which has opened the door to some<br />
amazing new possibilities—a group of products we call the Connected<br />
Science System.<br />
The Wi-Fi capability of LabQuest 2 led to the development of the <strong>Vernier</strong><br />
Data Share web app, which can be used on the browsers of mobile devices<br />
and on computers to view and analyze data that has been wirelessly sent<br />
from LabQuest 2. The Wi-Fi feature also led to an iPad version of Graphical<br />
Analysis, an app for graphing both sensor-based data and data entered<br />
manually. Educators tell us they love the connectivity feature of LabQuest 2,<br />
because it allows them to collect and analyze data with whichever tablet or<br />
mobile device their schools may use in the future.<br />
So that our customers with earlier interfaces would not feel left out, we<br />
added <strong>Vernier</strong> Data Sharing to the new version of <strong>Logger</strong> Pro. Even if you<br />
have ten-year-old interfaces, you can still wirelessly send data to students<br />
who are using mobile devices and computers!<br />
This year, we also introduced some interesting new sensors: the Ethanol<br />
Sensor, Goniometer, Pyranometer, and <strong>Vernier</strong> Optical DO Probe, as well as<br />
an improved version of our Mini Gas Chromatograph and a less-expensive<br />
Radiation Monitor.<br />

Dave’s background as a physics teacher and Christine’s knack for business combined<br />
to form a company with a deep commitment to education.<br />
Thirty-two years later, the company is still owned by Christine and Dave, along with 11<br />
