The Public Employment Service, better known as the Arbeitsmarktservice (AMS) (Public<br />
Employment Service <strong>Austria</strong>) offers their services <strong>in</strong> regional AMS offices.<br />
The Public Employment Service <strong>Austria</strong> (AMS) is responsible for consultation, job referral, f<strong>in</strong>ancial<br />
support and ensur<strong>in</strong>g livelihood (such as unemployment benefits and emergency assistance<br />
benefits) for persons who are permanent residents of <strong>Austria</strong> and are currently resid<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> <strong>Austria</strong>.<br />
Job seekers and unemployed persons may register at their local Public Employment Service <strong>Austria</strong><br />
office (the competence follows their pr<strong>in</strong>cipal residence, also see http://www.ams.at).<br />

The <strong>Austria</strong>n Employment Service offers this service both to registered <strong>in</strong>dividuals and all other<br />
<strong>in</strong>terested people. It offers an overview of all vacant positions <strong>in</strong> <strong>Austria</strong> and neighbour<strong>in</strong>g<br />
regions (South Tyrol, Switzerland, etc.) reported to the Public Employment Service <strong>Austria</strong>, AMS.<br />
You can search for a particular position by select<strong>in</strong>g the requested employment form, place of<br />
work, commencement date of employment, occupational groups/occupations. This service is<br />
available to both registered and unregistered users.<br />
Note: You can also register for the eJob-Room even when your place of residence is still outside<br />
<strong>Austria</strong>.<br />
