Fred Money 24ct. yellow gold sun mask
pendant, of circular form with radiating
edge and hand worked relief mask
central panel, artists initials engraved to
back and “24ct”. Diameter 45, weight
15.1grms. Made by Fred as a special gift
to a close friend. Sun and moon imagery
was a strong influence in Fred’s work
with influence from the Art Deco period
c.1930 he completed his apprenticeship
at the Ecclesiastical Goldsmiths Co. London
where he became a guild member.
After the war worked in Adelaide Australia,
coming to New Zealand in1953.
