Fred Money 24ct. yellow gold sun mask<br />
pendant, of circular form with radiating<br />
edge and hand worked relief mask<br />
central panel, artists initials engraved to<br />
back and “24ct”. Diameter 45, weight<br />
15.1grms. Made by Fred as a special gift<br />
to a close friend. Sun and moon imagery<br />
was a strong influence in Fred’s work<br />
with influence from the Art Deco period<br />
c.1930 he completed his apprenticeship<br />
at the Ecclesiastical Goldsmiths Co. London<br />
where he became a guild member.<br />
After the war worked in Adelaide Australia,<br />
coming to New Zealand in1953.<br />
