Basic and clinical research in head and neck cancer, gastrointestinal cancer,<br />
s<strong>of</strong>t tissue sarcomas and modern treatment technologies (IMRT). Recipient <strong>of</strong><br />
several grants from the German Research Council (DFG) and the Federal<br />
Ministry <strong>of</strong> Research and Technology (BMFT) since 1988. Röntgen Prize for<br />
radiobiological studies on xenograft s<strong>of</strong>t tissue sarcoma in 1988. >200 papers<br />
in peer-reviewed journals, >40 textbook contributions and review articles.<br />
