DURAVER ® -E-Cu quality 156 is a base
material of type FR-4. The resin matrix
is based on a phosphorus-modified
epoxy resin; conventional E-glass-fabric
is used for reinforcement. The requirements
of flammability class V-0 as per
UL 94 are met without addition of
antimony compounds.
Since this quality does not contain
halogen, it displays improved thermal
resistance in the T- 260 test. The time for
delamination at 260 °C is in excess of
60 minutes – a value high above standard
FR-4 (15 minutes).
Laminate constructions
The same types of E-glass-fabric is
used for DURAVER ® -E-Cu quality 156
as for our DURAVER ® -E-Cu quality 104
(FR-4).
Typical copper foil thicknesses (18, 35,
70 µm) correspond to IPC-4562, grade 3
(HTE-quality). For laminates with
substrate ≤ 0.1 mm VLP foill with HTE
properties is used.
Laminates are only available with
double sided copper cladding.
The laminates are produced in sheet size
1225 mm x 1070 mm (warp).
Prepregs are offered in roll width
approx. 1255 mm (location oriented).
Other sheet sizes and roll widths on
request.
Laminate and prepreg panels are cut to
specifications.
The prepregs' shelf life is six month at
< 5 °C or three months at < 20 °C and
a relative humidity of < 50 %.
Condensation must be avoided when
removed from the cold storage.
Processing
When pressing this product grade, it
should be allowed to cure for 90 minutes
at a temperature of about 200 °C.
The laminate will then be fully cured
and no additional postbaking is required.
The required pressure is 200 N/cm 2 .
Drying advice
Printed circuit boards should be dryed
two hours at 120 °C if storage > two
days at room temperature and a relativ
humidity of > 70% or storage > twenty
days at room temperature and a relativ
humidity of > 50%.
