Counselor In Training (CIT) I
Camp Graham: June 16-21
Camp Mary Atkinson: June 23-28
For girls entering grades 11–12
Do you love camp and enjoy working with younger children? Would you
like to one day be a camp staff member? If so, you should be a Counselor In
Training (CIT). This training is one of the best ways to develop skills to
become a truly fabulous future camp counselor. You will plan weekly
activities, shadow camp staff, learn about management, and participate in
other fun things.
Counselor In Training (CIT) II
Camp Graham: June 23-28 and June 30-July 5
Camp Mary Atkinson: June 9-14 and June 16-21
For girls entering grade 12
Prerequisite: CIT I
This two-week second-year program gives you more responsibility while
planning program for younger girls. Shadow staff in specific areas of camp,
learn more about camp administration, and visit other camps to see a
variety of programs. You will go home over the weekend. You will have the
chance to participate in a third week free of charge. The third week will
immediately follow the two-week session and will be a chance to build
your skills. In order to be considered for a paid position after the
completion of the program, you must participate in the third week.

Camp Mary Atkinson: July 28-August 2
For girls entering grades 6–8
Discover the leader within you through interactive and fun activities.
Explore group dynamics, values and integrity, and leadership styles while
completing activities in the Amaze: It's Your World--Change It! Leadership
Journey. Spend time with women leaders, visit a college campus, develop a
personal leadership action plan to benefit your community, and enjoy all
the fun of camp. Thanks to generous support from United Way of the
Greater Triangle's Women's Leadership Council, we can provide this
exciting opportunity to you and other middle school girls from
United Way youth-serving agencies.
