Counselor In Training (CIT) I<br />

Camp Graham: June 16-21<br />

Camp Mary Atkinson: June 23-28<br />

For girls entering grades 11–12<br />

Do you love camp and enjoy working with younger children? Would you<br />

like to one day be a camp staff member? If so, you should be a Counselor In<br />

Training (CIT). This training is one of the best ways to develop skills to<br />

become a truly fabulous future camp counselor. You will plan weekly<br />

activities, shadow camp staff, learn about management, and participate in<br />

other fun things.<br />

Counselor In Training (CIT) II<br />

Camp Graham: June 23-28 and June 30-July 5<br />

Camp Mary Atkinson: June 9-14 and June 16-21<br />

For girls entering grade 12<br />

Prerequisite: CIT I<br />

This two-week second-year program gives you more responsibility while<br />

planning program for younger girls. Shadow staff in specific areas of camp,<br />

learn more about camp administration, and visit other camps to see a<br />

variety of programs. You will go home over the weekend. You will have the<br />

chance to participate in a third week free of charge. The third week will<br />

immediately follow the two-week session and will be a chance to build<br />

your skills. In order to be considered for a paid position after the<br />

completion of the program, you must participate in the third week.<br />

Camp Mary Atkinson: July 28-August 2<br />

For girls entering grades 6–8<br />

Discover the leader within you through interactive and fun activities.<br />

Explore group dynamics, values and integrity, and leadership styles while<br />

completing activities in the Amaze: It's Your World--Change It! Leadership<br />

Journey. Spend time with women leaders, visit a college campus, develop a<br />

personal leadership action plan to benefit your community, and enjoy all<br />

the fun of camp. Thanks to generous support from United Way of the<br />

Greater Triangle's Women's Leadership Council, we can provide this<br />

exciting opportunity to you and other middle school girls from<br />

United Way youth-serving agencies.
